Newbie questions

Here are a couple of questions that I have:

What are those codes in dynasty mode? Where or How do I get them? I have 800 points for a shopping spree but all the snickers are locked???!!!

As any good PC gamer I would like to edit the game:

As far as I understand the .dbf files are responsible for players graphic ids port ids and so on.
Is there a way to input your own pics into the game?
How do you read a dbf file?
Can I permanently add my created player into the game?
Is there a comprehensible manual that explains how to work DBF editor?

P.S. The interface of this game is confusing as hell. Developers really need to get their sh*t together. I must say that 2K7 had a much higher learning curve.

1. There are codes that can be used to unlock additional shoes and jerseys.

2. Yes, you can import your own art files. Check out the NBA Live 07 Patching section for tips and tutorials.

3. DBF files can be opened with DB Commander, which is available in our Downloads section.

4. Yes; once you create a player, you need to save the roster in Load/Save.

5. Check out the NBA Live 07 subsite for the DBF Guides.

Thanks a bunch. Now before I'm going into the wilderness of Patch forum just a few follow ups:

Where do you get those codes to unlock stuff? and does it really matter whether my player is wearing MJ-V or some addidas in other words does it effect performance?

follow up to N.2 answer: so does that mean I can create myself or my friends in the game and put their or my picture to correspond to a specific player?

1. I believe these codes should work for the PC version as well, please note that many roster updates already feature the jerseys unlocked.
