Don't flame each other and other's patches in Utopia's thread, definitely not the place for it... But UltraNIX, go on and tell your opinion about other's patches, it is your right, but don't start to call other people stupid or lazy or whatever (I don't care if you do it directly or indirectly). That just makes everyone mad and the conversation leads nowhere...
And PLEASE make us all a bit wiser and open our eyes by showing us your patches that you say make a real difference, so that we can all go asleep happily as we then know what real patching is...
As for Uto, keep it up. I like your patches and I don't care if every millimeter is perfect or anything, all of your patches look good

i am not afraid of anybody being mad. indeed you are right, it leads nowhere, because you see, everybody is happy with the 1st version of any preview of the patch (that is said about patchers who at least have their name, like utopia, kj, courtney, glen, etc.). this leads to no improvement, because none of the patchers is perfect all the time. but still, everybody is happy..i am not..and i, according to many underaged bums in this forums am guilty for pointing this out.

and talking about myself, yes, i DO make patches and i DO make headshape edits. major edits, not little ones like the author of this thread.
Yes you do! But unlike him you don't release anything you do; so who cares about what you have patched.
i've been releasing my patches back then when some of this forum members were still going to the kirdergarten. but i stopped like a year ago, because EVERY of my big projects has been ripped-off.. and why? because it hasn't been 186th version of kobe or 303rd version of mr. flash dwyane wade..even now, some 3 year old patches are unsuccessfully converted and released as "somebody's" patches, forgeting that they are originally made by UltraNIX. and all the valuable patchers (including andreas dahl, jaosming, pdub, courtney, glen support me, they just don't want to make a fuss in public). that (here, referring to a situation of being ripped off) is one of the main causes why glen, andreas dahl retired.

1. Your argument makes no sense, saying that people are okay with low-quality patches, but the complaint that people are having with your response was that you questioned what was actually changed, and not at all the quality of the modification done.
2. You suggest that it is good to be arrogant in a serious and smart way, because that earns you more recognition. NOT ALL PUBLICITY IS GOOD PUBLICITY. that applies to general life too.
3. Had he not told us about the change in the headshape, then he would be lying. A simple comparison here might be to say that if he were to use one of your "custom headshapes" instead and not tell us, this would be unethical, and the wrong thing to do. If he didn't tell us that he changed the headshape, when he in fact did, this would be concerning.
4. If you have nothing nice to say, don't say it at all. Politeness goes a long way in making friends. [To refute your response argument, let me say that although you "are not here to make friends", you are also not likely here to make enemies, so please learn some manners and recognize that he did in fact make a head change, therefore giving him reason to put that into the description].
if anybody is being ridiculous, it's you, my dear forum fellow Istern.
and i will later explain why.
1) if my argument doesn't make sense, i don't bother posting it. you should agree, that the modification of the headshape is so small, almost invisible. i could quote my fellow glen's idea - people tend to write - real ears! real eyes! real neck..but wait? aren't the ears, eyes and neck the part of the face? to my mind, they are, indeed. instead of making a list of hundred "modifications", it's enough to say - brand new facial texture. and if .ebo file is edited to a higher extent - then a modified headshape.
2) i don't crave for recognition, if you are mistaken by that..in my active patching career i gained all the recognition i wanted for my patches, not for my comments. but you don't know the thing dude, so skip it..
3) and about using other people's headshapes.. utopia is smart enough to edit headshapes on his own. patches are being ripped by the can nots.
4) and i always have something to say. to make friends is not my main goal there. i have enough friends in this forum among the greatest patchers class and i don't bother to care what any newbie is thinking about me. i'm perfectionist and i will always point out the flaws of any patch. if you are childish and cannot bear the criticism, that is your problem, not mine. and yes, i'm not here to make enemies. there are patches that are great as they are, so they always receive my positive comments. but whatever makes middle class level patches will always get my comments. just don't take them as insulting. i am always for improvement.
and for those "let me see your patches - then comment" type of whinners. if you care to search this forum, there is a thread of my patches. but even that being said. the bottom line is - you don't have to be the greatest patcher to comment or criticise...as you don't have to be lebron james to comment/criticise NBA basketball...whoever has some ideas is given a right to express them.
peace to everybody. i don't want to insult anyone or anybody.
