Most simulated seasons without a championship??

Postby TomCat on Thu Apr 05, 2007 7:00 pm

I have been simulating a Blazers dynasty starting with the default rosters. I have simulated 7 seasons.

here is my playoff situation for each or the 7 seasons

1. DNM Playoffs
2. DNM Playoffs
3. DNM Playoffs
4. Elminated, round 1, game 7 vs Phoenix
5. Eliminated, round 1, game 6 vs Dallas
6. DNM Playoffs
7. Eliminated, NBA Finals, game 6 vs New York.

have started the 8th season with a 7-0 record, so this might be the year.

wondering if anyone else has had a huge Championship drought??

so anyway, back on the main topic. has anyone gone a long time without winning a championship. must be totally simulated though.

I know Effekt is doing a Bobcats dynasty, and i think he is simulating it. Made the playoffs in the 1st season, but lost second round.

anyone else with a long time without a championship??

Well, I simmed two more seasons...

6. Eliminated East Finals
7. NBA Championship Winners vs. Denver

I finally won, took 7 seasons though I had Granger (80) at SF because I traded Wallace for him. Roy was Finals MVP.

well in 05 it took me 13 years with Seattle to win a championship simulated. I had a problem getting a great big man into my lineup until around year 12 I signed Yao Ming as a free agent. I think in my fifth year I had this starting lineup Moses Gaze ( who couldn't score but could block shots)- Rasheed Wallace, Rashard Lewis , Ray Allen and Steve Nash and didnt' make the playoffs that year. in the 14th year I had Yao, Brand, Jamison, two other guards who were good and don't remember there name and went 66-16 and lost in the semifinals.

Wow that is a long time!

I am going to do the same thing again when Live 08 comes out (with Blazers again) and it shouldn't take as long this time. Maybe 5 years or so.....

I am on my 17th season and still havent reached the finals. I am playing with the BUlls and at one time had Kobe bryant and Chris Bosh and still didnt passed the conference finals.

I am collecting draft picks to see if the young players can help me out.

Well, on the reverse side of things...I simmed a total of 15 seasons when I first got the game with the Nets, and after a bunch of trades had this lineup

C - Bosh
PF - Al Jefferson
SF - Richard Jefferson
SG - VC
PG - JKidd

Well, without going throught all the process of the other trades throughout the years I won 12 championchips in those 15 years...
