cyanide, I'm interested in what you think about the Josh Childress scenario I proposed. I think it could be truly beneficial for both teams.

Childress would be a nice pick-up. He seems to be a pretty good defender and being so young and athletic, he'll thrive in the Raptors style of play. Without Mo Pete however, the Raptors would lose probably their only perimeter threat besides Bargs.

It would also be very hard to see the longest serving Raptor leave after being such a familiar face to the franchise year in and out, but I'd definitely do the Childress trade if a few more pieces were added.

Well, the Raptors win against the Celtics. A win against New York tommorow (which I'm pretty sure we can beat) can potentially put us on the top of the Atlantic Division :D

I'd be happy to get Childress on the team instead of Mo-Pete. I think, like Its_asdf said, his defense and rebounding would be nice. I think it would be a good trade if it can come down to it.

Mo Pete does not need to be traded. See what is happening this season. When Mo Pete was cold, Fred Jones came into the starting lineup. When Fred Jones turned cold, Graham came in. It will only be a matter of time when Graham will go on a cold streak and Mo Pete will come back into the starting lineup. We can't trade Mo Pete because we need lot of depth because our wings are not consistent.

Graham has really stepped his game up in the last 4-5 games. He has come in with confidence.

Our rebounding is horrific. When a shot goes up, there are hardly any players that attack the boards.

Also, is it just me, or are there hardly any dunks from us? I don't mean highlight reel dunks, but I mean dunks where you finish strong in the lane instead of a layup. I mean like how Bosh played in the home opener. He finished strong every time he was in the key with a dunk. And that brings me to the next point... WE'RE NOT GOING INTO THE KEY ENOUGH!!!!

Colangelo made us a perimeter team, Bosh is our only REAL inside threat!! But I see Andreas trying to post up, which he needs to develop cause we need another Big man who can play both inside out and outside in!!

And Congrats On the Win today for the Raps, I knew they were gonna beat NYK. They almost gave the game away though, but NY was stupid, they should have gave the ball to Curry, after Nester fouled out, Bosh was the only one who could guard him, and Curry can man handle Bosh in the post

Onions Onions !!!! Great game by the raps. Another good game by Bosh, Bargs and Ford. Garbo had a solid game. Did well on the defensive end.

I hear Portland is looking to trade Maglore because they have too many big men. Instead of Maglore, maybe the raps can get a deal for LaFrentz? Rasho + Mo for LaFrentz? Mo is an expiring contract, and Rasho will in 2 years. I like LabFrentz. He's a good shot blocker. Good inside defense and has a good outside shot. With miles gone, Portland could use a SG/SF player like Mo Pete.

Wait... I did not just hear that LaFrentz is a good inside defender. Maybe before his 800 surgeries and injuries.

If there's anyone I'd like to go after in Portland, it's Brandon Roy and maybe LaMarcus Aldridge. The last thing we need is a bigger contract that would put us over the cap even more (with the extensions of Bosh and Ford kicking in).

I wouldn't think Portland will deal them to us since they're a big part of there youth movement.

A quote from RealGM that I found hilarious:

" [grim face] Well, like i told guys, they were shooting the ball well, making their shats, we just couldn't shoot the ball well.i'm prouda my guys, they just can't make shats"

2)If we win (i.e. the opponent plays bad/injured roster, etc):
" [happy face] well like i told guys, we're just making our shats, doing the small things .... Jose called me in the summer saying his wife's making some tappas .. he asked me if i would like some, i said hell yes , but make sure you practice on your shats (smiles) hehe ... alrite guys... "

And the losing streak finally comes to an end at four games :) . Bargnani scores 23 points, including 5-8 from three-point land :D , and 6 rebounds. Just a taste of what to expect in about 1.5 to 2 years on a consistent basis  .

Hey, the PS2 preview actually got something right for a change. :P

They said Bargnani would have:
Points: 28
Rebounds: 9
Blocks: 3

Not bad. But they did say the Magic would win. :shake:

How has it been a let down? It's better than 1-15 like last year!! Who ever expected the Raps to be over 500 at this point are kidding themselves!! We still have a long way to go I think!!

I think people bought too much into the hype this season. They still need better low-post threats in order to be successful IN MY OPINION, too many small forwards

I think expectations were a little too high with all of the personnel changes.

Impressive game by Bargnani against the Magic (another team that I am a fan of). He really showed off his shooting stroke, but the Magic are a bit depleted after losing Bogans, Nelson, Turkey Glue and Grant Hill seemed like his knee was bothering him.

8-14 record isn't very good, but East really suck this season so far so they have quite good chance to get in playoffs

It's been a day and I'm suprised that there hasn't been any talk of beating Vince Carter and the Nets...

I'm glad to see such a balanced scoring ouput from the Raptors with Bosh out. It seems like everyone is starting to pick up the slack.

Raptors win 3 straight with a win today against the Golden State Warriors. Peterson was terrific today with 23 points, 10 boards and 3 assists. Bargnani had his first NBA double-double with 18 points, 10 boards and 6...6 blocks. He's going to a great player in this league if he keeps improving this rate.

My prayers goes to Jose. I don't think I've ever seen a Toronto player taken out on a stretcher before, and the whole building was quiet. Hopefully this is just precautionary and hope Jose gets well soon :(

Yeah, it didn't look too bad. I think there were just playing it safe with Jose. Chances are it's a minor back injury; that's why they would have kept him flat.

He looked like he was in a fair bit of pain according to his facial expression. Let's hope he was just scared since he felt pain in his back and was just fearing for the worst, and just that, nothing more than just a slight scare. I think he sort of twisted something as he got knocked over by Pietrus and fell down (you'd have a better understanding of what I mean if you get a chance to see how he fell).

He was crying; so I can imagine it must be painful. Hopefully he'll be ok.

On a more positive note, the Raptors win; with Peterson showing why he should be playing over Fred Jones, and Bargnani having another big night.
