Also, how good of a PC do you have to have in order for the game to play smoothly. I have been on XBox so long, I've never tried playing games on my PC.
As I said before, the PC version can be modded in a variety of ways since we have access to the game's files. Updating the rosters for the PC version is much better since you're not stuck with a small limit on created players (I'm not sure what the limit for consoles is this year, in the past it's been between 12-25) and you can modify hidden attributes allowing you to add complete bio data for players including nicknames and draft info. Graphics can also be updated though the process is not as straightforward as roster editing.
You're also able to save boxscores and screenshots with the PC version. The most noteable advantage this year would be the fact that a fix has been released for the PC version whereas console players unfortunately miss out.
I use a Logitech dual analog pad, I was using a Thrustmaster Firestorm for three or four years until the right stick messed up recently. There's other brands out there as well as devices that allow you to utilise PS2, Xbox and Xbox 360 controllers with the PC by allowing you to connect them via USB.
The requirements to run NBA Live 07 can be found
here. Anything faster than that shouldn't have too many problems running the game smoothly.
