Thanks for the information Andrew :)

Do you think that the official patch will affect any fan-made patch we have added to our game?

As long as you haven't changed anything in any of the .vivs, or screwed with any aiact type files, you should be fine, I'd say.

bigh0rt's right, there shouldn't be any issues if you've been using the custom art (sgsm folder) method. Also, there's been no word on yet whether there'll be any issues with Dynasty games already in progress.

Hey Andrew, have you noticed that the frame rate is slower and the games sometimes lag after you've installed the unoffical EA patch?

Not really, but seeing as though it's a beta version of the official patch (not an unofficial patch) and not meant for public release it's no surprise it has issues. The short answer is; don't install the beta patch, we were never meant to have it in the first place.

My advice is to wait. The official patch should overwrite the beta, where necessary.

You can either wait for the official update or as I suggested earlier reinstall the game so that it's back to an unpatched state.

A possible upside of the delay is that a lot of time is being spent on the fix. Considering the issues with the beta version that leaked, it's probably for the best the fix isn't being rushed out.

Am I the only one here who thinks EA should have taken this approach with their original game release ?? if it's not finished don't release it... the amount of time it takes them to release the patch just indicates how flawed Live 07 is.

I'm waiting until the verdict is in on the official patch to decide whether I'm going to buy Live 07, if the patch is any good then I probably will still wait until I can buy it with a discount. This way I'll still be able to play 07 in the end but EA still hurts because I would have payed full price a month ago if it was a half decent game.

by the way... I can understand you want to BETA release a complete set of software... but to have a BETA release of a patch ??

either you fix an issue or you don't...

It wasn't a beta release. It was never meant to be released. It was put up on the server for the benefit of the QA team and wasn't intended to find its way into our hands.

Andrew you posted way way back, that EA's roster update comes with new season. Maybe they will include it with the patch, and that maybe the reason, why patch comes out so long?!
My Player Progress 2007-2008:
#1 - Dorell Wright and #? - Greg Oden
#? - Glen Davis and #? - Kevin Durant
