@jimmy: What did you change in teams.dbf? I would like to use your v.2.5 fix in my dynasty (actually not only me )...

i change the strategy of each team just as real life, e.g. sun play faster gameplay rymthm, spur will play more defense..........etc.....backup all the needed stuff and try.........u will see the difference.......if dun like after u try, rollback by yr backup!

Hey Jimmy i've founded a bug in 2.5 version.
I can't (in 1 on 1 and practice mod) throw ball of the glass to yourself and dunk.

Can you explain exactly what you changed? Which rows/columns in teams.dbf did you edit? And what did you insert there?

backup all the needed stuff and try.........u will see the difference.......if dun like after u try, rollback by yr backup!

I've tried your patch but you cannot use it in the dynasty mode because if you copy the teams.dbf into the dynasty folder all statistics will be replaced/reseted. So I (not only me) need a tutorial from you how I can use 2.5 fix in a existing dynasty, actually only a tutorial for editing the teams.dbf file in a existing dynasty folder...

I used Jimmy's patch but I still get the same issue about PG domination: Jasikevicius scored 42 pts last nite (33 FG attempts)

If this AIACT isn't working for you then you must not be using the sliders or the included team strategy files correctly. I loaded all of the included components and this is a must have fix. Especially because EA's upcoming patch does not seem to include anything on PG domination.

I strongly suggest getting this patch and using it as it was intended. Fantastic job Jimmy, keep up the great work, everything is really nice.

Did you guys read? PDub opened the 2.5 aiact release and it is identical to the default aiact so if you are saying this is miraculously fixing your game, you're fooling yourself.

Yes, i am sorry to say that the aiact file stay tuned.......and it is the default aiact file of 07 in 2.5 , but still, it fix the PG bug by using setting.dat and teams.dbf....

u should try 1st!

for me at this stage, the problem is 90% fixed, and i will release another aiact later without much reduction in the player's ability and limitation

I don't mean to cause trouble or tell anyone they are wrong. I played the game before installing the files included in Jimmy's package with the aiact, settings, and teams.dbf files. When I played before these files I had a significant problem with PG domination. After installation of these files, I have not had those problems.

The PG is pulling the ball back on non advantage situations and running a set, often times freeing up the other team's best offensive player. I can't argue with results.

I believe PDub, but I am just letting people know that it has changed the way the computer plays against me, which I appreciate. Thank you.

EDIT: Like Jimmy said above, the settings and teams file make a significant difference. Please try them if you have not. I think there are some teams that need to be fixed yet. I noticed TJ Ford going crazy for the Raptors. Surely it is not an absolute fix but it is a step in the right direction.

The teams file DOES make a big difference. Jason Richardson had been driving to the rack and shooting jumpers on me whenever he got the ball. Then on one play, he just dribbled it, and then he passed it into the post player who scored, I was amazed. I think a small tweak to get the post players the ball more often could be all we need right now. Looking forward to your progress, Jimmy.

I think the next step, as Pdub said, is to tweak the teams file, and maybe the playmap file. I think if we can learn to manipulate these files we can make giant strides toward making the gameplay so much better.

Jimmy keep up your work on the AIACT, you did fantastic work with the passing, dribbling, freestyle, and shot logic on '06. I have lots of faith in you.

so now u believe me, man! it's realli a fix for PG/SG domination, although just at the moment it is not an aiact file.......and not a full fix

but u know, if setting.dat, teams.dbf and aiact.viv are all setup in the right way, the game will be very realistic!

8min, superstar, cpu assist=off
i set Jasikevicius to be the starting PG , SG is daniel, SF=jackson, PF=harrington, C= o'neal

Jasikevicius do make 27pt finally, 9 assists, 1/8 of 3pt make, 26 FG attempts
but o'neal as a center, made 20pts
other 3 players got more than 10 pts

my conclusion:

1st: Jasikevicius is not the starter in the game
2nd: his primacy rating as a bench player, shooting skills, and he is a X-factor that is the high clutch rating made him dominate

3rd: if u put him to be the starter and use my teams.dbf, he perform the strategy as tinsley did in the team---> setup plays, or shoot the ball, or drive to the basket......... it is the actual team play in pacers.......

4th: due to the fatigue and sub bugs.....make him no tired and shoot , drive etc quickly................
that's wt i cannot fix at the moment abt the sub bugs and fatigue bug, and wait EA

5th: u should try more other team 1st!... hope u will enjoy later

i just want people to enjoy the game first that's y i reset the aiact to remove limitation like dunk range, dunk ability and shooting percentage in the game...

as with the team strategy file and setting.dat already make the game a big difference and more realistic at the moment

I'm certainly not taking any shots at you Jimmy, you do what you can with a buggy game, and everybody appreciates your effort. I'm mostly fed up with EA...
But I just wanted to share my experience with this patch like everyone else. And this wasn't my first game with it, I played 3-4 games and always had the same PG problem.
Regarding Jasikevicius, I had him as a starter cuz he recently started PG with Indy, and since I tweaked down all his ratings like many other players, his primacy isn't as strong as the default one (his ratings were too high IMO).
I am using your teams.dbf, but Jasik was definitely not playing like Tinsley would.
Finally, I know that this is mostly due to the no sub bug, and once again this is nothing against you, I'm just writing what happened when I played.

make sure you arent using the NON Dynasty ones. One has more than 15 players on a team. The other is safe to use in Dynasty mode

Oh Thanks Jao. I never tried the other roster out. I thought it was an actuall dynasty. Now i can start my Dynasty story
