Wow, those are looking very very good. The day after my birthday I finally get to see Rudy Gay play in the NBA... oh this month is gonna be great. Not to offend any Aussies, but im so relieved there is no Bucks games. Too bad theres no Chicago games, maybe next month (Y)

I'm liking the Spurs games, and the Heat v Nets, Pistons v Wiz games. Not digging the Grizzlies v Kings.

I'd kill for a Blazers game.

Edit: I'm predicting Fox sports to show a shitload of Bucks games.

I too am glad that they've cut down the Bucks games, but i won't mind if they squeeze a few in w/o altering the proposed schedule.

Looks they'll be showing a lot of TNT games which means a few more Bulls games than normal. Should hopefully even things out a bit since ESPN tends to overload on certain matchups every year.

3 Spurs games (N) would be nice to see a Bobcats' game, a Clippers game, etc

anyone remember ESPN back in 2001-2003? they were so Lakers biased. They had the Lakers on all the time and the commentators were always Lakers fans.

Unfortunately I never had the pleasure of Foxtel until September 20th, 2004, but they've done the same thing with the Spurs the last couple of years as far as the number of games they show.

Well i always had to get people to tape me games, was that a hassle or what. I didn't mind the Lakers though, but the Spurs are kind of boring. Hopefully with Duncan @ C they'll play a quicker pace.

Looing at the ESPN schedule, they have a decent amount of variety, but the problem is ESPN Australia/PR seems to pick out the same teams ovr and over from the games available.

No Denver again i assume. The only game i saw was against the Spurs last year, one game that was all. At least we won otherwise i would be even more pissed off. They should have more variety, the spurs are too boring to watch aswell.

Yeah my cousin taped games for me before I got Foxtel which was awesome but it's just not the same seeing the game a few days after the fact.

I think we might as well keep using this thread. I'll just edit the title.

i'd go to a friends house every thrusday before bball training and get some time in, but never really got to finish the games off. Back then Fox Sports didn't have the rights to NBA Finals or All-Star game.....coverage was 1 game a week (sometimes the games didn't even finish because they had the oh so important legends cricket match). All-star weekend consisted of everything but the real game and coverage of playoffs was once a week until ECF/WCF finished. Bad bad times.

Im just hoping that TVU thing I downloaded is free and not just a trial or something. We cancelled our SKY TV because it was costing 46 a month and there was pretty much no point in it because of the free NBA TV and 3 other ESPN channels.

as mentioned by Andrew in the Bulls thread, opening day (Wednesday) will feature Bulls vs Heat, then on Friday we have a juicy SAS vs Dallas encounter.

To cap off opening week, ESPN starts it's NBA coverage on the saturday with a SAS vs Cleveland encounter.

3 games in 4 days (Y)

talking about NBA Action, those Top 10 plays of last year were crap....don't know who chose those....sure there were probably about 3 or 4 that deserved to make the grade, but that's it....too many plain dunks....disappointing, as has been NBA Action for the last 5+ years (N)

NBA Action hasn't been the same since the days of Jim Fagan. :(

Three games in the opening week is awesome. (Y) Predictably ESPN's offering is a fairly random matchup (and a Spurs game) but they should all be good games. It looks like Fox Sports will be balancing things out with more interesting matchups.
