I got to agree with alot of what Qballer said, the jump balls and over the back fouls really makes the game that much better. Its just so much that this game has to make it feel like your actually watching it on TV. I just can't wait to get my 360! I'm thinking 2k7 on current gen is better than Live on next gen  I had 2k5 and skipped over 2k6, so it took alot of adjusting for me to get use to this game. But, it only took like a few hours and I'm just as good in the game as I was in Live. The challenge is alot harder though and you just can't win every game easy like you could in Live. Anybody have any suggestions on sliders? And what mode do most of you play on? Right now, I'm on superstar and its going to take me a little while to switch to Hall of Famer.

I got nba 2k7 for current-gen-xbox the other day. I've only played about 4 or 5 games so far but my initial impression is that it's not much different from nba 2k6.

But hey, i'm a HUGE fan of nba 2k6 so i'm not complaining.

You got it for the wrong console basically. I had 2k6 on xbox also...and i didnt like it much. Atleast not so much over live 06 on pc. 2k7 on 360 is a whole new beast.

I had something cool happen to me yesterday. I shot the ball with ilgauskus of the cavs...and i decided to run towards the rim right after i shot it and jump for a potential rebound if the shot misses. Apparantly in doing so...he touched the rim and the ball went in...i got called for "basket interferance"...i was like wtf? "It's in the game"!!!

Ive been making my self not read reviews or watch clips about 2k7 because I have more important stuff to spend my little money on... Unless I just have one room with a TV, PS3 and 2K7, ribs showing and no bed

I'm guessing it's good, it was indeed basket interferance if Ilgauskus did touch the rim.

Man, the coolest thing happened in my game yesterday. I did a CAP and then did a random selection for what team he'd play on, and I play for the Nuggets (which is awesome because my guy is a 3 point shooting 2 guard, perfect fit) and as I got mad after one play because I was sure Camby got hacked going up and they fastbreaked the ball but I thought I saw George Karl jump up, so after the play I went back and watched the replay and George Karl was all in the refs ear during the whole play and he's just going nuts and then the ref turns to him and starts yelling back.

So cool.

that's a very good thing....with the aggressive modifier & rebound button, you can hit the offensive glass hard & go for tip-ins....sometimes if you mistime a tip-in or an offensive board with a big man, you can get done for offensive basket interference....it's great to see it in the game, same with over the back fouls & ball tie ups & diving for loose balls, where you can actually save a ball that's going out of bounds & get it back in....that's a cool feeling  (I'm talking 2k6 here, can't talk for 2k7 as not out for another 2 weeks, if it's on time, which I doubt considering nhl 2k7 has been delayed)....

oh and one other nice touch... on the next-gen version, when you push down to sub in guys on the fly, after you ext the screen, you can see them get up off the bench, walk to the scorers table and sit down until the next dead ball when they get up and come in the game

MJ is not that great, but Barkley's in-game shots are sweet & that is where it matters most....

Theres alot of created legends on the 2kforums, I think that might be an older version of MJ, meaning he's in his 40's, cause I remember seeing acouple of those. I did find one really good MJ on those forums, maybe I'll post a pic if I can find it again. Some guy also redid Clyde Drexler, and his was alot better than 2k's, it looked pretty good.

My NBA 2K7 Review

Postby lassen24 on Tue Oct 10, 2006 5:03 am

Well, me and my freind rented 2K7 for PS2, and for those of you that have not played the game, here is my opinion:

Gameplay:9/10
The gameplay is very solid, I have only seen 1 corrupt call by the officials. I have yet to see any of the defender skating that we see in NBA Live. The dunks are all realistic and the players tend to lay it up alot more then in Live. The shotstick is awesome, but lack of dribbles is kinda boring. On the fly subs, and the playcalling is great. In this game there is another great thing called subs :o. The only drawback is the large amount of and ones.

Presentation:10/10
This is just awesome, all the halftime reports, key matchups and great quick to access menus is what we've been asking for in live for 5 or so years. The Around the Cooler feature is another great thing that makes you feel like you are watching a game on tv.

Graphics: 6/10
Live has much better graphics then this game. The players look OK, but alot of the faces are way off. The crowd is terrible.

Association: 10/10
Sooooo good, 3 team trades, the computer takes potential into account, realistic sims, MIP isn't messed up, realistic rookies, other teams actuallu get cap space. This is the best part of the game.

Overall Score: 9/10[/u]
