Actually its not that unrealistic to manually frustrating a bit because everybody is so used to auto sub that we all just got lazy, but in reality players don't just get off the bench and come running in when another one is tired the coach decides who comes in so really manually subbing kinda makes you feel more in control, the ato sub feature is just a matter of convienience, its just haveing to manually sub for the computer too thats a pain in the ass.

lol
You are talking like you know nothing about the situation.
It's not only a matter of inconvenience, but when we manually sub for the cpu team, they sub the exhausted starters back in.
Not to mention other glitches and bugs that make the game unplayable.
Face it, we are not only talking about the frustrating gameplay we have had for years, but the game this year as a whole is a frustration and a disappointment.

The computer will not subsitute players back after you did their subsitution, as long as you did that according to their positions in the game.

What are you thinking? Not that unrealistic!? What coach subs players for the apposing team lol? Because thats what EA is making us do. It has nothing to do with lazy? Will you get off your brain please and put it where it belongs?

I actually played both game on PS2
2K7 is far much better

You want create a team feature? two on two, three on three? practice with teammate? Plan a scenario with trailing by one, 3 seconds on the clock let kobe beat CPU on buzzer? these are the things that on our NBA Live wishlist every year, 2K7 actually got them all

2K7 is no perfect and isn't 100% bugs free, but i really enjoyed it. NBA live 07? for me, it's not even playable.

for PS2 players, rent or borrow 2K7, try it yourself and you wont play that Live 07 again

4.9 Wow. I never knew IGN could be so honest. Good job pointing out all the bugs.

i may be one of the few peeps that thinks this game is pretty great whit some ratings tweaks and some bug fixes like stats patch and fatigue.

My games are realistic and nothing is easy and if you pass it around you ill make threes and when you have momentum, you will do better.

The bugs are annoying, but once they are gone, the game is great, untill then 4.9 is accurate.

Since i dont play dynasty that much. i would give the game a 7/10 maybe 8/10.

But im judging purely for online gaming.

Dynasty mode would be good if the menus weren't so fucking awful looking and easier to get to. They really need to make a PC specific UI.

The only bug I've run into so far is the sub bug really... animation stuff is fine. And the good thing is it runs quite well on my computer (that 1gb extra has done wonders)

I think what they've done with dynasty is fucking awesome but the menus just fuck it up.

That's my UI review lol.

I think they even OVERRATED the game :D . It's like LIVE 06 with even more bugs, same graphics, less customization options, and it isn't even funny or easty to play.

A BIG ZEROOOOOO !!

EA has robbed the XBOX 360 owners for $120.00

Postby royuncg on Thu Oct 05, 2006 12:58 am

I've been a EA basketball fan since Lakers vs. Celtics, and got the 1st PC version Live '95. And I've read the forums, and no one has mentioned that Xbox360 owners have been ripped off for $120.00 by purchasing live 06 & 07. I was against getting 2k7, but I'm done with EA. And honestly I have to admit it, but I really like 2k7, It's not perfect, but once you master the new control scheme, its very enjoyable. I really wish EA would release beta versions and let the community test and comment on, and if it means waiting until Jan for a NBA Live, thats cool with me. But until EA gets there act together, They will not get any more money from me.

I think it shows alot of arrogance on their part. When you look at the absolute best games of their genre around, Football Manager for instance, not only do they have BETA testers they also release a miriad of demo's before the game is released, just to iron out any possible bugs. Not even weeks after the game is officially released they bring out a patch just to tidy everything up. Last year everyone orgasmed because EA released a barely playable demo of Live 06, I mean wtf?

End of reviewl

I would give this to my worst enemy, because he is my worst enemy.

Overall Scoring: Z to the 7th power (F)

ROFL. I found this situation increasingly funny the more I think about it. Just imagine the little kid at school right now, whos dad was working on this game. He's probably geting his head flushed in the boys bathroom right now.

So for the draft, I give this game an F. Sh*t's only fair.

I tried to sub someone in during the end of a quarter, and he wouldn't go in. Good going, Scottie Pippen.

So Andrea Bargnani, the number 1 pick in the real draft? He got drafted Number 10.

Who was the number 1 pick in that draft, you ask? A made up player named James Francis, a 6 foot point guard from the University of the Congo. I swear I wish I was making this all up.

Lmao... EA should give themselves a pat on the back for that

Just read the ealier post about the suck ass menu. You'd think that by now they would have implemented the niftry mouse scrolling and drop down menus from madden. Do you know how frustrating it is to adjust someones contract price by one hundredths? Only to have them rejected the contract for length, forcing you to go back and do it Again...

I think i heard of James Francis somewhere. Someone told me he is Steve Francis african brother and that he was in the draft but no one picked him.

Note: What i just wrote is pure crap but not as much as the new nba live.

How would Steve Francis have a brother native to a different country?

LMFAO!!

I've only played it last night on PC for a tiny bit and the graphics are nice but the sucky menus, kind of complicated dynasty mode (very hard to find things), substitution bug and the gameplay glitches just tear it apart.

Yea isn't it annoiying setting up your starting lineup,It's more complicated then it needs to be. And it's funny how they have all these menu screens like "road trip" etc.. all setup for fatigue to be a big factor in dynasty mode and they dont fix the substitution thing rendering it pretty much useless.

All the new features would take a bit of time to learn and stuff but it's not worth it unless you just wanna simulate all the time. It would be worth it if the sub bug wasn't there (that's my only concern, I can live with everything else, sorta).

Maybe its the fact that I haven't played video games in about 2months or so, but Live 07 is DAMN hard on the eyes on the PS2. The actions don't flow very well. For some reason to me, the freestyle control isn't very responsive. Also, Adam Morrison seems pretty dominating in this game.
