Where to extract all this stuff

Postby stig on Tue Oct 03, 2006 5:23 pm

I searched and searched and couldn't find a FAQ that goes over where to extract all these custom files. Can someone point me to one or just list where to put different things. I figured out where the custom texture stuff goes (sgsm/whatever right?) but I'm not sure about these other patches that have to do with lighting and other game settings.

if I don't have an sgsm folder in my NBA Live 07 folder and I create it (a la Jimmy's roster patch), what effect does this have on what I currently have. I asked this in another thread, but perhaps this is what caused my game to quietly exit itself when I clicked on the Main Menu 'Load/Save' button. Any thoughts?

Moved to 07 Patching Issues.

It depends on the patch really, but most graphical patches go in the NBA LIVE 07/sgsm/ folder, as NJNETSFANFORLIFE said. Now this is in the NBA LIVE 07 folder where you installed the game, not the one in My Documents. (This might be what you did wrong joeygraham, because there's always a sgsm folder and the game does not run without it, perhaps you looked in the wrong NBA LIVE 07 folder for the SGSM one.)
If a readme file comes with the patch, I suggest looking at that, and it will most of the times tell you how and where to put it in the game..

OK, so far here's what I've gathered:

Player skins
sgsm/players

Court skins
sgsm/stadia

Uniform skins
sgsm/uniforms

Coach skins
sgsm/coach

Can someone explain the other folders? allstar, common, crowd, crowd3d, freenv, and props

For the crowd folders, are there patches that make the crowd look better because right now it just looks goofy to have XBOX360 looking players on the court and a PS1 crowd.

ok the files in the stadia folder are .viv and i downloaded JaoSming's court patch and all the files are .fsh

do i just copy all those files into the stadia folder??? ive tried this and it doesnt make a difference to the courts. how would just puttin thses files in that folder affect the court - they would still be reading off the .viv file.

there are like 3 files for each teams home court. what do i do????????????
