Just one question to Jao (or someone else): Is it possible to change the form of the backboard? Everytime I try to open pgymbbd.ebo with Ebo Editor, it crashes and says something like this: "Runtime error '6': Overflow". I think its possible because there was a different type of backboard in Andreas Dahl's Next Gen Practice Court.

gromit u dont need to open the ebo file, you just need to open pgymbbd.fsh with FshX, and replace the "obak" with your backboard texture.

Yes Jerry, I know that, actually I was the one who told that to you. :D But I was thinking that how can you change the backboard form like this:

So, if someone knows please tell me.

its actually not a special form at all

look at the bbd files for that court and ull see all Dahl did was blank out certain parts of the backboard

now if you wanted to change between the urban, NBA, and Practice backboards just wait a couple more hours/days/whenever i feel like it :P

i wanted to edit the sixers stadium

can u help me please?

Mon Jul 03, 2006 12:31 pm

you can only open 3 of the stadiums, well 4 if you count the Hall of Fame I found

pgym, prac, and urba

Current Practice Gym, 2003-2005 practice gym, and the Urban court

hope that helps

New backboard tutorial up, see first post

any chance

Fri Aug 11, 2006 1:58 pm

any chance of live going back to o file instead ebo file. or some one putting together a really good tool like the oedit tool for live next year?

i mean that's why i stop patching, i have patched since live 04.

Fri Aug 11, 2006 8:28 pm

nah they dont use it, and i doesnt look like any thing changed in 07...

anyway EA is using a new kind of .o file, because the o fle in 06 weren't editable

Sat Aug 12, 2006 12:07 am

how do you know ea is using a new kind of .o file

Sat Aug 12, 2006 1:13 am

cause I downloaded oedit and tried editing some .o files in 06 and it didnt work

Sat Aug 12, 2006 1:16 am

How do you know it will be changed for 07

Sat Aug 12, 2006 2:19 am

hold up, first of all, there are .o files along with .ebo files in 06; those .o files can not be edited in oedit.

Im assuming by the screenshots that EA will not be changing file formats, so

06 ebo = 07 ebo (editable)
06 .o - 07 .o (uneditable)

and I said "and i(t) doesnt look like any thing changed in 07... "

hope im clear on that, sorry bout confusin you

Sat Aug 12, 2006 1:02 pm

ok any news if the ebo tool is looking to be expanded like the old o edit tool?

Sat Aug 12, 2006 9:37 pm

i doubt it

i wish i knew how to program....

Mon Aug 14, 2006 4:43 pm

hey JAO thanks for great tut, but I have two questions:
1. How to make the selection box?
2. How to make good fence?

Mon Aug 14, 2006 8:17 pm

1.) Make Sure you press ctrl+d first to deselect everything, then just click and drag to have a selection box; it may take a second for the yellow box to show up.

2.) a good fence is difficult because it is located in the pgymstd_trans.ebo file (part 7); ill try and post a simple tutorial with the fence later

I have placed two more EDITs to the first post and mirrored the tutorial onto the NLSC servers. I believe the Backboard tutorial has timed out. I may or may not write a replacement tutorial on that.

why is it that when i try to open a player headshape it says either oops unkown file format or rundown overflow...

Sun Mar 11, 2007 8:56 am

you need to use the .2 beta of the ebo editor, this is .1 which is better for court editing

Sat Jun 28, 2008 4:06 am

hi jaosming
can you reload you backboard textures please?
thanks

Sun Jul 20, 2008 7:57 pm
