Can you run an IP check on ~Brandi~1079? I'm skeptical, I wonder if it's another Jessica...er...um...Stevan and Nick.

Gday, just letting you know that you might wanna check out this guy " Vc_VS_Mj". He joined yesterday and I'm pretty sure all he is doing is PMing people asking them to join his forum, he has no posts. Not sure if that is not allowed but it seems like a waste of an account.

Does the crazy emoticon show up for you guys as the new post emoticon? And the e-mail icon show up as the crazy emoticon for you guys? This is weird.

Just wonderng, but would making posts in certain sections (ie. General Talk) not be counted towards your post count help reduce spam possibly? Please dont flame if this idea sucks, just happen to see this after registering on another forum for Live CAPs.

There's a mod that allows that but I don't think a whole section should be penalised just because it sometimes invites spam/game threads. Besides, as I've said before even if post counts are hidden or restricted, if people want to spam then they'll spam. We'll need to go to further lengths in our efforts to curb spam.

Yea sure it'd cut back from spam in General Talk but that doesn't mean it won't encourage spam elsewhere, especially considering it doesn't affect post count. If anything, I'd think it'd encourage posters to post more but in other sections.

I think that thread should be deleted and that guy banned I guess. That's one of those "Make money with paypal" scam things.

looking at that, doesn't the sudden number of people signing up with FirstName_LastName seem a little suspicious? especially since none of them have posted.

EDIT: kick them all out now. they all have the same webpage with different text.
