You've got to be kidding me. If it weren't for Jason "Douche Bag" Terry and Miami's poor free-throw shooting Dallas would've been on the losing end tonight.

The will be an extended series, period. The x-factor tonight: missed free-throws. Not only did Shaquille miss all but one shot, but Wade missed four or more from the line as well. Oh yeah, nobody else from Miami even attempted a free-throw. Look for Miami to attack the basket more in game two and draw fouls.

Another thing I'd like to point out is Jason Terry. He will not have another game like this - Pat Riley won't allow it.

As for the instrumentals, I recognized the one they played during the heat lineup but I never knew the name either! I wish I could find out the name of it..

That is called "a basketball game". When Cleveland lost to Detroit the game 7, I could have said that "if it wasn't for the Detroit defense, we would have won". But I didn't, all things you pointed are things the coach has to be prepaired for and make correct decitions to change the result. After the first quarter, whitch was terrible for Dallas, A. Johnson made the right decitions, whitch got the game winner. No wonder he's the COY.

I don't know what instrumental was playing during the Heat's lineup, but Dallas' was The Who's "Eminence Front."

I enjoyed the game because im not rooting for either team, i think it makes it more enjoyable to watch. Then you dont sit there yelling at the refs for calls against your team, and overlooking the same thing happening to the other team. It was a very nice game, i hope the rest are close like this, no blowouts please!

This game added to a noteworthy statistic for Miami. The Heat are now 0-6 in this postseason when trailing at the half while they're 12-0 in games where they're ahead after the first 24 minutes. Such a lack of resilience is a matter of concern but so long as they carry a lead into the half they would appear to be in good shape, since they seem to be better at defending a lead than playing catchup, even with a small deficit, so far these Playoffs.

Fine start to the Finals, impressive win by Dallas thanks in no small part to Terry's second quarter explosion. Miami's free throw troubles hurt them but take nothing away from the Mavericks, they got the job done.

Wow. I didn't expect such a performance by Terry. I mean, he made me completely forget about the weak performances by Dirk and Howard. I also think that he missed that layup on purpose... No, really. What was that all about? Looked like he couldn't decide whether to dunk or lay it in.

It did look like he mistimed his leap and thus had to lay it in when he originally intended to dunk, forcing him to come up short into the side of the rim.

The Arizona guy came up big for the Mavs. Game seemed interesting too, too bad I didnt watch it. Maybe the next one.

5 turnovers for Wade. Just felt like pointing that out. He really needs to start cutting down on those if the Heat wannt to win. I would also be slightly worried if I lost by 10 with Dirl only scoring 16 since most people said he would have to score 35 a night to keep the Mavs in the game. Oh well.

As far as Jason Terry goes, it was a fantastic game for him, and speaking of Arizona players, is there a list somewhere of all the Arizona players in the NBA? I cant think of another college as close to them with NBA players. (Jefferson, Bibby, Terry, Frye, Salim Stoudamire, Walton, on and on)

The Heat's free throw percentage is always distorted by Shaq, but it's still a major weakness.

They really can't overcome it though, except by keeping him out of the game in the end when it's close.

get the ball to shaq early period. he alone drew 2 fouls on diop and 1 on dampier in the 1st quarter pretty early. dwade might be stunned a bit from the leg injury in Game 1 but he escaped better than stackhouse .
i wonder how he got his bloody nose.....hehehe
