DALLAS MAVERICKS ARE THE NBA CHAMPIONS OF THE 2006-2007!!!
American Airlines Center, Dallas
Mavericks won 2-0
[ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] [ 4 ]
Dallas Mavericks have just become the NBA Champions of 2006-2007 season after beating Cavaliers in the second game!
This night in Dallas will be celebration night, the team won the title for the first time in this club franchise.
Mavericks are now accepting all the congratulation and celebrating with all the team staff.
Cleveland Cavaliers got the 2nd place in this season, which is very good for this club after a lot of unsuccessful years.
LeBron James from Cleveland Cavaliers was trying to do all that the team would win, but Mavericks were just stronger.
James was the best player in this game at Cavaliers, scoring 29 points, also had 4 rebounds and only 1 assist.
But team will have to work hard and offer the best available contract for him, as he didn't say if he stays in Cleveland.
The best player on the opposite team was Dirk Nowitzki with 32 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists.
He was true team leader, when it was needed the most. And he deserves it with great play, leading the team all the season.
The game was thrilling from the start of the 3rd quarter. Mavericks were winning by some points until the half.
But then Cavs strengthened the defense and the real game began. Teams were fighting, like it must be in the final game.
The score was tied with the remaing of 1 minute and 13 seconds, but then Nowitzki made very important 3 pointer.
BINGO! All the spectators were storming. It was left 2 points at the remaining of 40 seconds and Cavs were controlling the ball.
But the shot was not accurate and they were needed to foul. All the free throws were made till the last 10 seconds.
The lead increased to 8 points, and Cavs missed the last game shot and Mavericks felt free to control the ball at the last 5 seconds.
Dirk Nowitzki was helding the ball until the last buzzer. And it was over! Mavericks now became the NBA Campions!!!
All the team players were running into the floor and starting to celebrate this oustanding victory.
After that, the Champions cup was given to team captain Dirk Nowitzki. He lifted the cup to prove the team power.
Dirk Nowitzki after the game said shortly that he is vey proud of all the team players he had around.
Also said that the title wouldn't be coming without hard work and especially the coach Avery Johnson.
Team GM also was very happy with the outstanding performance by his owning club.
He also said that he always knew that the team had the potential to go all the way, and it's great to see it happen.

Marquis...PLEASE e-mail me your pstat and tstat files from the PLAYOFFS so I can figure out your Hollinger proficiency playoff stats! I'll try to make progress on that project this weekend since Heiks also finished the playoffs... Congratulations btw, it's cool seeing pics of the celebration!

I wish I could make such a playoff run, but Dallas seems to be better than NY (maybe im just a miserable player

And btw I changed my mindd, V4 of jimmy´s aiact is better, particuarly because my game crahses with V3 sometimes

Thanks Marquis for giving me your rockin playoff stats! Hopefully by '07, you'll be able to submit those like you submit the Regular season ones...
...come this summer I'll be working on JSP(Java Server Pages) so this will make things more dynamic with liveGMC and hopefully more fun...
