Here's goes the Blazers' updated roster....

top 10 rotation is pretty much secure, with the bottom 4 still fighting for scrapper minutes

EDIT: BTW, if it makes anyone happier, Ha has gone from a 13th man on my team to the starting centre for the T'wolves  so you see, I did his career a favour

yep, I like the trade....Eddie Griffin really does add another dimension to my frontcourt....I'm also hoping that Monta Ellis works out too....

in terms of ratings, I got Griffin (76), Ellis (63) & Carnegie (64)....Golden State got Outlaw (68) & Blake (57)....T'wolves got Rand (66), Monia (62) & Ha (58)....Warriors really coveted Outlaw & Wolves really coveted Ha....I essentially gave 4-for-3, but I like the trade not just for ratings, but also parity, fairness & the fact I got a player I really needed....

yep, he's got the job for now....I wonder how long he can keep Mark Madsen out of that starting lineup for

Like you said, the real winner won't be decided for a few years, especially in the case of Monta Ellis. I always liked Griffin when he was with the Rockets, he can hit the three, play three positions, and overall he's very versatile. Plus, he's young, so I think you got a good deal out of this trade.

I guess it all comes down to Eddie Griffin....I didn't give up any of the main pieces of my team & I added someone who can change a game, so I see it as a move forward....Ellis is the intriguing pickup in this trade though....

yep, the versatility sold me on him....that & his ability to defend all three frontcourt positions....I can play a big lineup with him at SF or a small lineup with him at C, although I think primarily he's gonna be at the 3 & 4....

yep, as you know Jugs, I always try & make a fair trade both in Live & real life....this deal meets those requirements....

as for Apollo Carnegie being the future of the franchise, I could be in for a loooong dynasty then

cheers :P as for his performance, it always take a little while to get new blood insync with the rest of the team....it hasn't be dramatic, but his ability to block shots & board always help

we'll see....not planning on any more before the deadline, but I'll never rule anything out....

as for the big man spot....current Przy-bizz & Theo are the team's centres....but there are like 4 other players (Randolph, Griffin, Harding & possibly Lee) on the team that can handle that position, so I think I'm fine in the interim

I'll wait till he declines a bit more, don't want to give up Zach Randolph & pieces for him, Jugs would have a fit

why don't u play Griffin at starting C ?

i might be wrong, but i think he'd be doing better than Przybilla ;)
he's just a monster in the paint... swatting shot after shot, getting rebounds - he's definitely a nice catch (Y)

and he can hit the 3 on the offensive end

i like that trade

you seem to want me to trade Mo all of a sudden, don't you?!? :? the thing with Mo is that since Martell Webster has been starting, Mo Peterson's scoring averages have gone up :o that's right, he's scoring more off the bench than he did while he was starting :o

so the moral of the story is, I am not trading Mo

I'm glad you approve of the trade :P

as for starting Eddie, I'm happy with Big Joel in the middle, for now....there may come a time when that will change, but not yet....there might be the occasional one that he will start if the matchups are right or there is an injury, but for now, he's the 1st forward off the bench....

Nice trade, Griffin should be a big plus for you off the bench. I have a request and question:
Request: Could you monitor Ha Seung Jin's progress seeing that he's the starting Centre for the T-Wolves, see if he evolves into the Yao Ming like player we thought he would.
Question: How did you pull off a three team trade on NBA Live 06?
All in all I like what I'm seeing from Randolph (definately a franchise player) and Telfair is starting to come into form. I think you have a nice team, it may be a chemistry problem. If Telfair evolves (into a playmaker) he may be able to solve that problem. All in all very good. (Y) (Y) (Y)

I love Griffin too, great pick up man. I had him on my team too, but I had to trade him to pick up Radmonic for my CLippers dynasty. :(

cheers....

as for the request, I guess I can do something like that, effective from after the All-Star Break, which I'm now at in my dynasty....honestly he hasn't done great as a starter so far, like about 3-4ppg, 6-7rpg in 30mpg on poor FG%'s :( but he should improve....but I'll keep everyone updated on his progress :P

the 3-team trade was essentially 2 individual trades I had with 2 different teams, but the 2nd trade involved player/s that I received in the 1st trade, essentially making it a 3-team deal....considering the fact that they were made within 2 days of each other, it wasn't too unrealistic, & it was more fun for me to do it that way

I made a trade of Outlaw & Blake to Warriors for Rand & Ellis....that took care of the Outlaw situation, added a good rookie PG & a future talent in Ellis....although, after looking at that, I realised while I liked the pickup of Ellis, Rand just complicates things & I still like Jarrett Jack as a backup for Telfair, so I made it a 3-team trade by trading Rand, Monia & Ha for Griffin & Carnegie the next day

as for the chemistry problems, possibly, but take a look at my roster....look at the role players....Przybilla (block, rebound, defend, take up space), Ratliff (block, rebound), Griffin (block, rebound, hustle, spread the D with the occasional trifecta), Lee (rebound, hustle), Watson (shoot the trifecta)....then I've got the star down low in Randolph, the star-in-the-making at PG in Telfair, a cold-blooded shooting future star in Martell Webster at SG, a super 6th man in Morris Peterson....roster is filled out with guards Jack & Ellis who may or may not pan out, but it's worth the risk....Carnegie takes a roster spot....

the only real question I have on this team, which does relate to chemistry, is Darius Miles!!! but everytime I think of entertaining offers for him, I realise he means something more to this team than his value....it's strange in a way....I honestly think I might hurt my team chemistry more by trading Miles than by keeping him....so for the moment, he is not going anywhere.....

cwebbiverson wrote:wow, nice trade......griffin should help

cheers, he definitely will....

as for the possibility of dbf-editing the trade, of course not, who do you think I am? :shake: can't blame you for asking though, as you know it's not possible in the game....as I said before, I just felt like making a deal that benefited a few different teams in different ways & run with a more real life situation

yep, seems like the Ha Watch will become a part of this dynasty

I was never going to trade him to a situation that didn't really need him, or where he wouldn't play, so I'm happy it turned out well for the kid

as for Eddie, yep, I like the addition too, he is afterall the centrepiece of the whole 3-team trade

gutted, guess you had to do it for the team :(
