Great sweat effect Pdub

The sweat beads are the way to go!!!

Try and apply this effect to the head lighting with the fspec.fsh files
stated it my lighting mod post

fspec01.fsh to fspec15.fsh control the different head type lighting
I know fspec13.fsh is for garnett, billups, and baron davis etc
this might help you when editing to quickly check to see how the effect looks in game by knowing which file is assigned to which player.

Once you master one head type, just apply the effect to each fspec file

Man EA should have hired the people in this forum to do the graphics because theirs suck!!!!

Keep up the good work!!!!! Look forward to your next release

Oh the sweat beads...sorry, also Cy Berfuk has the right idea to change the head lighting to apply sweat. If you applied the sweat bead feature to the bheads and a little bit more to the body it will be perfect (Y)

Click on the pic.

Thank you. I was trying to do that, but I couldn't seem to get it working. I was using the fspec10 but it was barely showing up, so I gave up. Its just a first try to see if it works, and as you can see it does. I'll make it darker on the face, more sprinkles on the top of the head, less lines. I'm gonna look at the xbox360 screenshots to get a better idea.

Maybe next weekend I'll release.

Oh and I tried something different too. I combined the subtle sweat with the drops of sweat, and added sweat lines to the arms. Its hard to see in that pic, but it keeps the players a bit sweaty looking when your playing, and then you see the drops and lines during closeups.

The face is a bit too extreme. Looks like someone has scraped his skin off. Hands look great. You should do the face, neck and chest just like arms and add a FEW lines on the face.

Keep on experimenting, you'll get there.

The face is a bit too extreme.

Well, duh. I was just trying to see if it worked, because the first time I tried it, it didn't work, but that was do to the wrong fspec for the player i was trying it on(error=user). When I painted the lines I used a 2 or 3 pixel brush which is why they are fat, but the lines look good with 1 pixel. I might make the fspec file a bigger resolution, that way I can make the lines smoother and smaller, but still noticeable because you can barely see the lines I drew with 1 pixel brush. I saved some xbox360 pics to get some ideas on how to combine the drops and lines.

I haven't touched any hands. :?
Today's Sunday so I'll try some more and I will post in the evening(pacific time).

good work whatever you did to the arms looks great from what i read i think the lines were his experiment on but my comment is that whatever you did to the arms should be done to other areas because it looks like he has a strange pigment disease on his face and head

MUWHAHAHAHAH!! blah blah, here's some progress.

Image

I think the lines look great, plus you can see the drop shines at the end of the line!

I made the nose shine a bit more, tweaked the forehead just above the eyebrows and the cheeks under the eyes. You can't see the drops on the top of the head in the pics, but they're there. I'll probably add some sweat sprinkles to the forehead.

Don't worry about the weird lines on the shoulders, I'm lazy and haven't replaced them, it was an experiment.

Let me know what you think.

Like bring the lines all the way to the top of the head, instead of the start of the forehead?

I belive he means that you should start them at random places, not from the same line.

Absolutely AMAZING! Patch of the year in the makings.
