Houston, Feb. 18(Ticker) -- Chauncey Billups was on fire from downtown in the Foot Locker 3 Point Shootout with 19 in second round to win. Mike James of Toronto came in second with 18.

The first round got off very well. Charlotte's Quentin Richardson nailed 20 and had a very good chance to go to the second round. But his chances were in jeopardy when Chauncey Billups scored 26, including scoring 3 entire racks. Phoenix's Jim Jackson tried to score more than 20, but came up 3 short of 20. Damon Stoudamire didn't have a chance after he missed every single shot at the last rack.

"I was really worried when Cuttino [Mobley] started shooting, although he got the same as i did" - said Quentin.

Cuttino Mobley scored 20. But Cuttino's and Q's hopes of getting into the secod round were over after Mike James nailed the winning money ball and finished with 22. Baron Davis got the worst score with 11 points and Kirk Hinrich scored 18, both weren't enough for the second round.

"After Mike James only made 12, i knew I was about to win this" - said Billups.

Chauncey Billups is the winner of Foot Locker 3 Point Shootut.

Houston, Feb. 18(Ticker) -- Emeka Okafor was an underdog in the Rising Stars Slam Dunk Contest, but after he showed 4 spectacular dunks, he became the Slam Dunk Winner.

"I believed in myself. and showed some great stuff out there" - said Emeka.

The 1st round got off very well. Emeka Okafor made a great dunk and all 5 judges gave him a 10, 50. Steve Francis was just 1 shy of 50 when he went for a crazy hook, 49. Gerald Green scored a perfect score(50) after he threw the ball off the shot clock and slammed it home. The last contestant DeShawn Stevenson went for a pretty, but a simple dunk, which only got him 44.

"Well, I knew after the horrible dunk I made, that I wasn't gonig to get to the second round." - said DeShawn.

2nd attempts weren't very good. Emeka Okafor went first again. He threw it up off the camera and dunked it home, he only got 42. After first try, Steve Francis needed a 43 to get into the 2nd round, he pretty much did the same thing as Okafor and got only 39. Gerald Green scored 50, when he threw up the ball off his elbow, caught it, did a 180 and dunked with one hand. DeShawn Stevenson threw the ball off the backboard, caught it with his back facing the rim and dunked it with 2 hands.

After the 2 Attempts, both Magic’s were eliminated. Okafor and Greene advanced
In the second round Emeka Okafor went first again. He threw it up off the camera, caught it and with a turnaround dunked it with 2 hands, he got a 49. Since Gerald Green got a better score in the 1st round, went second. He went crazy. He threw the ball between his legs, off the backboard, a 180 and a one handed finish. Of course he got a 50. Okafor’s next dunk was the winning. He kicked the ball of his knee, jumped up, caught it before he was in the paint and dunked it, 50. Green went for an easy dunk and only got a 41.

“It was very dumb of me to go for a simple 180. I knew I would get a 50 after I landed” – said Green.

Results

Emeka Okafor is the new Sprite Rising Stars Slam Dunk Champion.
