I'm not sure cuz I only have Live 2005 but I think your supposed to put them in the SGSM/Uniforms folder.

Tell me if that worked.

Thanks for all the feedback so far, everyone. I realize I haven't put anything out in a while, with this in mind I have a brief announcement regarding the future of the Road Trip.

After doing a couple of jerseys in NBA Live 06, I began to realize what made the MVP Baseball Road Trip so successful: preparation. I had all my templates in order, I had all my logos edited to the correct colors (and given tackle twill and sparkle texture effects, as well), I was ready for mass production. With the NBA series, it's been a bit different. Logos are much harder to come by (especially wordmarks found on the jerseys), and with the removal of most pro sports logos from Brands of the World's website, I've been faced with two options: when I can't find a good raster copy of a team's wordmark, I'd have to copy the jersey scripts directly from photographs (which I've done for the Bulls, Pacers, and Pistons away) or hand-trace from said photographs in AutoCAD (I did that for the Bucks).

I've always felt that if I can't put my best possible work forward, I'm not only cheating the people that take time to download it and see it for themselves, but I'm also cheating myself. Therefore, I'm putting the Road Trip on hiatus until I'm better prepared to show what I'm truly capable of. This means doing the same things I did to ensure that my work for MVP Baseball was of the highest possible quality:

--having all my layered templates in order (working from Granados's templates as a base)
--getting large raster images of all logos/wordmarks used on team jerseys (along with creating the proper effects for them)
--possibly creating a new template for preview pics

Hopefully, I can get my sh*t together by December, at which time I'll resume the Road Trip, complete with new versions of the four teams I've previously released. Thank you for your patience and your continued support.

Yes, and it doesn't have everything I need. The NBA section is great for logos, but severely lacking in wordmarks. I've got a system going where I can get at least one team done per night (although I've done both the Bulls and Pacers tonight), so don't worry about me. Heck, I might even share my work when it's done, knowing that a lot of people are probably having the same problem I am.

Well, the way I did it when I made a home version of the Raptors red jersey was to export the existing red jersey and trace over the wordmark. Maybe try that?

I could, but then I'd run into the same problem I ran into when importing the wordmarks from photos of jerseys from Eastbay/NBA.com: my source image would be too small, and any resizing of the image would look like absolute plop. I'd rather just redraw them (using somewhat accurate measurements) and apply my own effects. This way, I can make them as large as I want and resize them as I see fit.

Yes...I'd rather you take your time and make quality jerseys then have someone with skills like yours mass produce crap...not that you were. But, you know what I mean.

I agree with Steve, do it the best way you can, but wouldn't the wordmarks be the same size? If EA's is 512x512 and you make yours at 512x512, what's the problem?

The Two Alternatives:

1) Copying a logo from a picture of a jersey from Eastbay/NBA.com



Keep in mind that usually a wordmark copied from a jersey photo like this is usually 160-175 pixels wide, and it looks like absolute plop when resized and sharpened.

2) Copying the picture into AutoCAD and using somewhat precise mesaurements to trace a logo



With a larger logo, I can resize the image as I see fit while adding effects for tackle twill and sparkle effects for the metallic stuff. This is what I have to work with after tracing the logo, using hatch patterns to define trim, and adding color after C&Ping into PSP 7.

Which would you prefer?
