It's actually used to keep the corn rows and waves tight, especially overnight. If you get cornrows and sleep on them without wrapping them up, they get all fuzzy and need to be done again within a day or so; with waves, the waves would come out overnight. Some people wear them just for the heck of it.

it's done by placing the du-rag texture over the bhed. so if you want a player to have it you have to edit his cyberface. you can't add a new accessory in the game
