NBA Live 2006 Release Dates Thread

Once again, it's time to roll out the Release Dates sticky. This is the place where you can:

- Post release dates you've seen
- Correct/confirm release dates others have posted
- Ask about release dates.

If you ask about release dates or start a new thread about release dates, it will be locked or deleted. The reason we have stickied information threads is so that you can easily find the info you're looking for.

Note that we'll be updating our NBA Live 2006 subsite with information as well. Also stay tuned to the subsite and the NLSC news page (that's the front page, www.nba-live.com) for the latest developments.

North America

The console version will likely be available around about that time in October, but if recent history is anything to go by I'd say the PC version will be at least a couple of weeks later.

I think they should make the PC version seperately, because of the consoles the game developers have been held back in putting cool stuff in the game. But I think once the XBOX 2 comes out that will be changed for the better.

we have all also learned a lesson to not trust what we read... I think Live on PC will be out late October to November (see 2005)

Personally, I prefer a PC release closer to the start of the regular season. With a later cutoff date, more rookies are generally included and more transactions have been made.

Well, as per usual I will be looking forward to NBA Live in late November to early December. Usually goes under the christmas tree around here :-)

Hm,

I will probably wait until the XBOX360 or PS3 version of Live 06 to drop. It's obvious that Live 06 on PS2 will be exactly the same with updated rosters.

Lets just all wait for the next gen Live.

Something that should be noted - if you're after the PC version and you have no reservations about online shopping, you can always order from North America through ebgames.com - they're reliable and they'll have the game to ship when it's released in North America. PC CD-ROMs aren't region specific like console discs and DVDs.

October seems so close....i wouldnt mind a later release date as long as we get correct rosters + ratings.

Gamespot latest release date for NBA LIVE 06 is OCTOBER 1.

I hope so becuz my b-day is Oct. 3 and it is going to be a great gift for myself.

here in Quebec canada we have just an eb games...i think the pric will be the same like nba live 2005...but will be better if the price its like the 2k5 sports haha

The game will not come out in September, because in the end of the preview clips you always get to see the screen with the NBA logo which you get when you start NBA Live up too. It says "The NBA member team rosters in this product are accurate as of September 30th, 2005" :wink:

Probably a bit early too, but more likely than a September release. It would also be referring to the North American release for the console version.

During the Draft on NBA.com it has a banner for Live 06 and it says September 26th.
