Seattle 91 – New York 99 (Record:34-24)
Another road win for the Knicks, this time heading out West to face the Sonics. Allan Houston scored 24 and Jamal Crawford 23 to help their team dominate in the second half. Ray Allen and Antonio Daniels had 25 each, but it was Seattle’s frontcourt of Radmanovic and Malik Allen that could not cut it in the end, forfeiting the win to the visitors.

Miami 92 – New York 96 (Record:35-24)
In this all-out battle between 2 of the top eastern teams this season, the visiting Knicks once again won in Miami making it 6 wins in a row there since last season. Pretty impressive, don’t you think? Anyway, the keys to this victory for New York was Jamal Crawford best game of the season, with 30 points, 11 assists , 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Plus he commited just one turnover in 41 minutes of game action. Fot the Heat, Shaq had a monster triple double with 24pts – 19rebs – 10ast – 5blk, but was too lonely on offense to win it.



March 9, 2006


New York 96 – Miami 108 (Record:35-25)
Another scoring battle between Shaq and JC, with the Diesel getting sweet revenge this time leading his Heat to a win inside the Madison Square Garden,with 29 points and 14 rebounds. Crawford scored 27, but did not get much help from Odom who got stuck at the 12 points he had scored by halftime.



March 11, 2006

New York 100 – Washington 95 (Record:36-25)
The disappointing Washington Wizards ( 16-43), sitting last in the NBA this season, after Larry Hughes departure, came to the Garden and fought valiantly but in the end the Knicks were the ones smiling. 2 players scored 19 and 2 others had 16 to cap an excellent team effort for the home team, while Kwame Brown’s 20 points and 9 rebounds were not enough o lead the Wiz to victory.

New York 99 – New Orleans 92 (Record:37-25)
Another lowly team visited the Garden and conceded victory to the Knicks today, this time the New Orleans Hornets. Lamar Odom had 27 pts – 9rebs and JC added 23 pts – 9ast to make short work of Kyle Korver’s shooting and 24 subsequent points.




March 14, 2006


New York 111 – Charlotte 79 (Record:38-25)
A blowout win for the Knicks against the 26 – 32 respectable Bobcats, who were playing without Pau Gasol due to his leg injury. Lamar Odom had a career high 17 rebounds, JC scored 20 and everybody contributed on defense to keep Okafor and Gerald Wallace in check, minimizing their shooting percentages.

New Jersey 89 – New York 114 (Record:39-25)
With a 36 – 16 4th quarter in their favour, the Knicks blasted right past their local rivals and are now sitting 14 games above .500 . Odom had a great showing with 29 pints, 13 rebounds and 8 assists, while Jamaal Magloire helped with 20 pts – 12 rebs. From the Nets, Carter had 30 but could not lead his team to victory, choking in the final quarter.

Orlando 76 – New York 94 (Record:40-25)
The Knicks grabbed their 8th win in their last 9 games, and it was a convincing one againt the Magic in Florida, as well. As usual ,this season, New York was better in the second half of the game and with a great defensive effort resulting in a 21 –8 3rd quarter, got a big lead and never looked back. Odom had another all-round performance with 23 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists.

New York 96 – Detroit 106 (Record:40-26)
We’ve been having no end of trouble when facing the Pistons during the past two years, and we did so again tonight at the Garden. Hamilton and Rasheed Wallace carried the visitors with 26 and 29 points respectively, voiding Tim Thomas’ 26 and New York’s superiority up until the end of the 3rd. They had an offensive breakout with 40 points in the 4th, to clinch this game.

Chicago 106 – New York 95 (Record:40-27)
Kirk Hinrich had 29 points and 6 assists, not to mention 3 three trays in the 4th quarter, to lead the home side to victory over the Knicks. The New Yorkers were led by Jamal Crawford’s 22 points and 10 assists, but what really proved to be the deciding factor of the game, was Lamar Odom’s lackluster performance on offense, scoring just 9 points on 4/14 shooting.

Phoenix 90 – New York 80 (Record:40-28)
Third straight game dropped by the Knicks, this time to the 40-27 Suns who have been red hot and then some during the past 15 days of action. Odom had 27 and Magloire 20, but no other player in a blue and orange uniform managed to hit th e10 point mark. Phoenix, on th eother hand, had 6 players in double digits, with Stoudemire and Quentin Richardson standing out with 19 points each.




March 26, 2006


New York 99 – Portland 100 (Record:40-29)
4th consecutive defeat, and in a disappointing fashion as well. It took a buzzer beating three point shot by Damon Stoudamire to hand the Blazers the win, with the best player on the Portland squad being Zach Randolph, with 29 points and 17 rebounds. For the Knicks, Magloire with 20 and Thomas with 19 stood out.




March 28 , 2006


Indiana 84 – New York 100 (Record:41-29)
Don’t let the score fool you, it was very close up until the 43rd minute or so, at which point the Knicks went on a 18 – 2 run to close the game with a large lead. Odom led offensively with 32 points, and had great help from Jamaal Magloire, who scored 13, grabbed 11 rebs, and had an amazing 7 blocks, most of which on O’Neal. From the Pacers, Artest with 20 and JO with 19 were the leading performers.






March 30, 2006


New York 87 – Washington 78 (Record:42-29)
Bottom of the league ( 18-48 ) visited the Garden and put up a good fight before surrendering to the home side. Jamison, Arenas, and Kwame Brown were fighting, but it was the Knicks who put up more of a team effort, getting the W in the end. Tim Thomas had 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists, while Odom nearly put up a triple double with 13 pts – 10 rebs – 9ast.

Exactly what I think, even though he just went the a tough stretch, it should be easy for him to rebound off those losses he had in the last update unless your playing very stiff competition in the next 11 games.

Desmond has seen his stock rise this year, leading the Memphis Tigers to a Conference USA title and in the sweet sixteen round of the National Tournament. Some say he’s the most exciting player ever to come out of the program after Penny Hardaway, and Jackson is doing anything in his power to prove them correct. An all-around player in the truest of senses, he’s a jack of all trades on the court and is seemingly doing a little bit of everything night in and night out to help his team win. Armed with a lethal shooting touch and with the ability to create it on his own off the dribble, quick and decently fast, having a nice passing touch and great court vision, Desmond Jackson reminds scouts of Phoenix Suns’ Joe Johnson, despite being a somewhat poorer defender. He is projected as a Top 5 pick, with Milwaukee and Toronto eyeing him the most at the moment.











David Weaver – Stanford – C – 6’11”, 295 lbs

David is one of those guys that you just get to appreciate if you watch their work ethic and progress throughout the years. He went into Stanford with an academic scholarship rather than an athletic one, and he went into the basketball team mostly due to his size and strength, with the coaches feeling he could be adding 5 or 10 minutes off the bench and some fouls on defense. After 4 years of collegiate basketball, Weaver has developed himself into a physical specimen and defensive dynamo, reminiscent of a larger and more prototypical Center version of Ben Wallace. He’s a blocking machine and has a sense for grabbing the offensive board, but his greatest skills seems to be setting up perfect picks for his guard, using his impressive 295 pound muscular frame as a wall. His offensive game has improved, but it’s definitely not NBA caliber by far. His awesome size and defensive awareness make him a Top 20 candidate, though, with the |Knicks, Sonics and Clippers seemingly more interested that others.










Channing Frye – Arizona – C – 7’ 0” , 248 lbs

One of the nation’s top big men ... Possesses a strong work ethic ... An excellent athlete, Frye gave the Cats inside presence similar to Loren Woods (1998-2001) with improving shot-blocking abilities ... Great hands and a solid mid-range jumper ... Registered 60 double-figure-point and 23 double-figure-rebound games in his three-year career ... Averaged 17.3 points and 8.7 rebounds in three postseason games ... As I said, we're a playoff team... all we need is to get that seed, and then we'll turn it up a notch as usual...

David Weaver will probably end up somewhere in the 13 - 18 range, which means the teams most probable to pick him are ORL, NJ, SEA, CHI, PHI and POR. My personal preference among them is the Nets, with their lack of a decent frontcourt. I could log some serious minutes there...
