If they do, who will they trade? Barkley has been telling all season that the Blazers should trade McCollum. But who will take him?

They would probably need to trade Whiteside if possible and/or Bazemore who both are on large expiring deals
Knicks would probably be desperate enough to dump Randle for cap space

OKC continues to make a push for the playoffs spot but CP3 aging is definitely starting to show.
What a nice revenge game by the Heat last night against the loaded 76ers. Rivalry is building up nicely.
Tonight, we have a big game between the Lakers and the Bucks. It will be fun to see if giannis can continue to put up sick numbers as usual. LeVron and AD will wanna make a statement, lets see how that goes

Trying to get out of work early to watch this Lakers game. East coast games suck

As per my picks in NBA 2K20's Daily Pick 'Em, I was wrong on every Christmas Day game. A whole 500 VC I missed out on, there. This is why I don't gamble.

The Thunder and Blazers are now in 7th and 8th seed respectively. They have been better lately especially the CP3 led Thunder. In contrast, the Wolves and Suns have been just total shit. Andrew Wiggins, who am I kidding, he's still a shit player. Devin Booker? Slightly above average player at the moment, and it's not gonna get things done.

There's a Tweet by the official Timberwolves account from November that
hasn't aged well.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander gets the first triple-double of his career. 20p/18r/10a with 7 minutes left in the fourth quarter against the Timberwolves
Tue Jan 14, 2020 1:51 pm
A 6'5" guard getting 20 boards, even in this age of inflated stats and bigs on the perimeter leaving the glass more open to smaller players, is incredible. For that matter, 20 boards is a big night for anyone in the three-point era. Life imitating your MyLEAGUE story, there.

At this point I wouldn't take the Paul George trade back if the Clippers offered to. SGA looks amazing, Gallinari is playing well and all the picks to come as well.
Tue Jan 14, 2020 9:03 pm
It may be one of those trades that ends up working out quite well for both teams.
Tue Jan 21, 2020 4:19 pm
Rodney Hood used to be my ultimate X-factor/enigmatic player, but I think I have to give that honor to Gallinari now. I know his career has been somewhat marred by injuries, but he has been a consistent scorer for the last decade and never gets talked about. He's always been on these hodgepodge squads that overachieve and make the playoffs (I mean, only three appearances in his career but look at last year's Clippers, the post-Melo Nuggets and this year's Thunder -- better hope your team doesn't get them in the first round). He literally just seems like this big asset that gets shipped places and no one ever truly appreciates him; then again, he's never even played a full season, but no one will probably even talk about him once his career is over.

Talented and capable role players, and even borderline All-Stars, do tend to get lost in the shuffle like that.

Very unfortunate to say the least. It doesn't look good for Parsons being able to play again at this point. Definitely hope that West gets some help as well.
Wed Jan 22, 2020 12:16 pm
I think it's possible for Parsons to come back just not this season
Man I was a fan of Delonte as he was one of the best one on one defenders in the league. I wish that people were more aware of mental illness then as they are now

Zion debut. Limited to 4 minute "bursts", he dropped like 17 pts in the 4th, hitting 4/4 from 3.
Thu Jan 23, 2020 6:22 pm
He's going to be a lot of fun to watch...at least until ESPN ruins him with overexposure and hyperbolic hot takes. But even then, if you tune out their noise, he's going to be really entertaining, and a great player.
Thu Jan 30, 2020 7:59 am
Dame Lillard averaging 52.7 ppg in the last 3 games lol

Trade tracker so far;
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/237 ... every-dealIMO, trading Capela was a dumb move
Thu Feb 06, 2020 10:52 am
I can see their reasoning for it as it allows them to play smaller but they got Jordan Bell in case they go up against the Lakers in the playoffs
The downgrade from Clint to Bell also netted them Covington which is a huge come up for them and basically the main reason for the deal. Another floor spacer to play at the 4. A lot of teams were trying to snag Covington

Nuggets receive: Keita Bates-Diop, Gerald Green, Shabazz Napier, Noah Vonleh, Rockets 2020 first-round pick
I think this might be Morey's last season with the Rockets. He's going all in on this gimmick small ball team. Capela is relatively underpaid so having to trade him to cut salary shows just how much they fucked up by re-signing Paul, then trading him for Westbrook. Capela should help ATL make a playoff run next year. Wolves get an underrated haul. Nuggets clear logjams in their rotation
Woj wrote:Miami has agreed to trade Justise Winslow, Dion Waiters and James Johnson to Memphis for Andre Iguodala, Solomon Hill and Jae Crowder, league sources tell ESPN. No picks in the deal.
Iguodala agreed to trade and has agreed to a two-year, $30M extension with Miami
Miami probably improves in the short run, but not sure if Iguodala will be a viable player after this season. Winslow should be a good fit on the Grizzlies.
Woj wrote:Golden State has agreed to trade D'Angelo Russell to Minnesota for a deal that includes Andrew Wiggins, a 2021 protected first-round pick and a 2022 second-round pick, league sources tell ESPN. Warriors will send Jacob Evans and Omari Spellman to Timberwolves too.
I'll always have a soft spot for Andrew Wiggins, but seems like Golden State is making a huge mistake taking on that huge contract. They're already going to be on the hook for over $100M/year for Curry, Klay and Dray and now they're paying max money to a guy who will essentially fill the Harrison Barnes role. Sure, they'll eventually get a late lottery pick out of it but doesn't make much sense to me.

Deals, deals, deals!
Lol Rockets flip Bell so they're really going all in on small ball.
Beasley was good last year on Denver so I think he could be a big piece in Minnesota.
I feel like the warriors struck out in free agency with Durant leaving and Thompson hurt so Russell was always a band-aid to get through this season. Even after signing him people were already reporting they were going to trade him. No point in keeping him for next year when Klay comes back and having an expensive 6th man. Wiggins allows them to fill out their starting lineup with a really good player.
It's cool to see a lot of teams able to get rid of guys they didn't want: Russell, Drummond, Waiters, Crowder, Iguodala, Dedmond etc
Fri Feb 07, 2020 12:04 pm
Russell always struck me as a weird signing, given that they already had Curry. Even with Thompson on the shelf it didn't seem like a good fit, and although Curry's injury changed the situation again, Russell still didn't seem like a long-term solution. You know those weird signings for the sake of having player movement in older franchise modes in video games? That's kind of what it felt like, or perhaps a desperation move to get a "name" when Durant walked.
