Windowed Mode Problem

Hope somebody still has the time to answer because I still play NBA2K14!

Just got a new laptop 15.6" and I use a 23.6" monitor.
What I do is i extend the display but both the laptop and the monitor has a 1920 x 1080 resolution.

If i do a window mode in NBA 2k14, the screen just turns black but I know the game is still running.
If i select other resolution, the screen also just turns black in window mode but I can do a ctrl+alt+delete and select task manager, and it works. This one doesn't work in 1920 x 1080 resolution.

In my old laptop, which has a resolution of 1366 x 768, connected to a 1920 x 1080 monitor, doesn't have any problem whatsoever if i select window mode. i dont have to do the ctrlaltdelete thing.

Does anyone know about this?

The obvious solution to try would be to not run the game in Windowed Mode. It might not be your preference, but if it's the only method that works, then you don't have a lot of choice.
