First Roster Corrects Generated Rookie Ratings

Postby Andrew on Sun Oct 06, 2013 12:12 pm

In addition to updating a few players' ratings and adding Aron Baynes, the first roster also reportedly corrects the issue with generated rookies not having their ratings generated properly. For those who are having trouble getting the updates automatically, you should be able to grab them off 2K Share.

I'm waiting for my copy to arrive so I can't maintain an upload of the official rosters for the PC version just yet, but in the meantime Haxz0rz1337 has you covered:

Also heard that coach profiles got reset to 50s across the board as well
Opinions are my own.

So, do we gotta start Association with official new roster or can we use custom (NBA365) roster but with Online Data updated?

Don't use this roster for association, unless you want to manually edit all the coach profiles.

Coach profiles have a lot to do with how teams play. If you don't care if every team plays the same way, then don't care about coach profiles.

One issue fixed, another one created. This would be a perfect time to deliver on those "more frequent roster updates" they promised.

Andrew, are they going to fix the championship bug, in which the team with the better standing doesn't have home court advantage in the championship game? I'm frustrated that they didn't fix this from 2k13!!!!

I've been experiencing that since 2K10. It occasionally happens, I'd be annoyed if it always happens.

Any idea where I could find the coach sliders for each team? I started an association with LA and everything got reset to 50 for each coach as has been mentioned...so I started a new one and now that motherfucker Monroe went and signed an extension mid-season with the Pistons. :x

I google'd but didn't find anything. I'm willing to change them per coach per team in my association, I've got a good thing going in 2014. :(

When will we receive a roster without the rookie problems and without the coach profile problems?

Re: Coach Profiles, you can only change the profile for your coach once you're in association. To change for all the coaches you have to exit association, go into options, game settings, coach profiles. Then save the roster file. Then start a new association.

Or resign position, take up every GM position of other teams and set them there then rejoin your initial team.

I didn't know that was possible. At least it's a work around.

It's so annoying how the roster update has the up and down arrows next to the player's rating. Anyone know how to remove it?

Hm I really fear they completely ignore the OA rosters now...When I start an OA, I still get the rosters from the release. I tweet them every day bout that, but I don't get any answers... What is the meaning of having auto-roster updates, when you cannot use them for the Online Association?! When I want to play offline, I don't need 2k's Roster Update but I can use any User created, which are way better.

I'm sure they'll push through updates for OA in time, but it doesn't sound like they're doing a much better job than last year. That said, there could be more to the situation, so it'd be nice if the guys who are active in the community could be given the green light to post information on that. I doubt they're ignoring the situation, it's probably just something they're not allowed to comment on at this time, which doesn't help matters.

They're likely rushing to get the next-gen version done instead of some roster fix.

I'm sure plenty of people reported it. I guess it just got overlooked.

Having the same issue. Was changing some ratings but I've noticed that the up/down arrows have a permanent effect on the player, meaning if I want to give a player a specific rating, I have to adjust for the increase/decrease 2K gives. Major pain and it doesn't even go away going into Association Mode. Usually, I would just load up the oldest rosters without the change but then I wouldn't have properly generated rookies. (N)
