Are the graphics dumbed down on PC again? I mean that low res texture for tattoos and for faces that 2k13 had? Need to know ASAP, bc probably won't buy if it is the same.

There is definitely a better look. Sharper textures etc.
Shaders look a bit nicer.

Overall slicker look - looks like a blend of the next gen trailer and 2K13

But man the gameplay is so much better!
The way you can block and slap the ball away, it's so much more emergent and free flowing
Rebounding actually feels effective, instead of randomly jumping up and hoping to get the ball...

The feel, is a definite step up from 2k13 - so far you can't do the same cheesey things

Tried a quick game - me Houston vs Knicks.
Up 10 at start of 4th quarter, switched to All Star level.
Harden got shut down, lost by 8
Dwight got 4 blocks as he should

Taking charges get called, but if your slightly late - it's a blocking foul

Totally agree with these remarks. AI feels improved by a mile.

NBA 2K14 is greatly improved/patched NBA 2K13 . You mights get the feeling that you play the same game, but then again vastly improved gameplay and little details show otherwise.

Based on all these points about the PC version for 99.99 percent sure that the patches (if any) will not be released for the PC
Maybe in the console versions will have some no newness, with new features in particular. For PC - some new animations and dunks, new menu background are not enough to buy, i think.
In my opinion NBA2k14 - the worst release of nba2k series on PC (since NBA 2k9, by the way the best PC release for me, at least graphically. A pity that it not supported and is not updated. Even oldest NBA Live 2000 has some regular updates by mod makers)

Hmm. Thanks for the screens, as long as this game can be made to look amazing by modders with HD textures, and the gameplay improvement. Im down for the $30 price tag.

Gameplay wise, this is the best NBA 2K IMO

The flow is really nice. All those annoying pauses and forced freezes are gone.
There is no going back to 2K13.
I'm uninstalling 2K11 and 2K12 as well

The pick roll defense of 2k13 was terrible, not anymore
And I love how you can strip the ball off someone going up for a layup, as opposed to only blocking the shot at the apex of the jump.
And other cool bits like, minor deflections, and ball bobbles

- most annoying thing left - not being able to skip through each draft position in the My Player draft

Cool - I got player of the game in the My Player showcase game as a PG - a first for me!
16+ points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks, 4 steals.
And it all felt like I had good control over my player.

Sounds like to me , you're just "hatin" on the game for no valid reason. Of course they aren't going to direct all their energy towards a dying platform, as opposed to next-gen on the consoles. Pretty soon, PC gaming will be a thing of the past, so therefore, I'm glad they gave us another year of NBA2K, regardless of a few shortcomings.

I'm very impressed so far...

1. Graphics are damn nice. Not quite as good as the next gen videos, but this looks GOOD.

2. It's possible to play bigs in My Career! In previous versions, it has barely been able to move due to the "bump and hold" physics of defense. Now you can actually move around. Awesome.

3. YOU CAN BRING UP THE QUICK TACTICS MENU WITHOUT BEING A POINT GUARD. Fuck. Yeah.

I am not a graphics guy but tattoos, shadows and reflections seemed better. The on court players look better than previous years. However the presentation graphics has regressed.

Game plays smoother. But it feels very outdated. Looking forward to next gen.
