The Brooklyn Ballers open up this week with an easy win against the Atlanta Hawks. Adam Morrison led the Ballers with 22 points; 12 of them coming from the 3rd quarter. The Hawks led by Joe Johnson who finished with 28 points, Josh Smith almost had a triple double with 19 points, 10 boards and 7 assists. 7 players reach double figures in scoring for the Ballers.
The Memphis Grizzlies scored 39 points in the 1st quarter and never looked back as they beat the Ballers. Rookie Xavier Henry led all scorers with 29 points, Rudy Gay had 23 points while Zach Randolph had 21 and OJ Mayo added 22 points. Marc Gasol grabbed his career high 20 rebounds in this game.
The Ballers made a great rally in the 4th quarter and the one leading them is Corey Brewer who scored 11 of his 17 points in the final quarter. David West and Chris Paul scored half the points for their team and got absolutely no help from their teammates.

I never noticed his stats until the end of the game. You should edit your predictions man, did you read the couple of updates?

TEAM STATSPPG: 89.0 [30th] | FG%: .445 [3rd] | 3P%: .422 [1st] | FT%: .765 [17th] |
ORPG: 7.7 [30th] | DRPG: 32.6 [26th] | RPG: 40.3 [30th] | APG: 17.8 [22th] |
BPG: 5.9 [1st] | SPG: 5.40 [30th] | TOPG: 15.0 [11th] | FPG: 17.0 [30th] |
No one really expects the Brooklyn Ballers to perform good basketball. But there are some times that they played really well that resulted to a couple of wins.
Looking at the team stats the Ballers really need some help in terms of scoring and rebounding. Although they are first Fg% they really are playing with a slow pace. They did try a run and gun style early in the season but that really doesn’t turn out well and it resulted to a lot of turnovers.
They also need to exert more effort in playing defense; they are dead last in rebounding and also in stealing.
Both Yi Jianlian and Chris Andersen are playing well together, but the Ballers need more consistency in the backcourt. There are times the Wesley Matthews is a great scorer but sometimes he looks lost on the court. Rafer Alston needs to be consistent and his bad plays resulted to Tony Douglas playing more minutes. Adam Morrison so far is the X-factor of the team, if he plays well the team most likely will have a win. Hakkim Warrick is struggling to find his minutes but that is because of the emergence of Yi.

1. Dirk Nowizki, PF, Dallas Mavericks (23-9), (28.6 PPG, 9.3 RPG, 1.0 APG, 0.9 SPG, 1.1 BPG) – Being the best player on the best team right now in the NBA, Dirk is putting great numbers since the 2005-2006 season. But the German forward is more focus on getting his first ring.
2. Tim Duncan, PF, San Antonio Spurs (22-11), (21.5 PPG, 12.3 RPG, 1.0 APG, 0.3 SPG, 1.8 BPG) – The big fundamental is having his career season, but unfortunately Duncan’s season is over as he will be out for the season due to a Torn MCL.
3. Dwayne Wade, SG, Miami Heat (21-14), (26.5 PPG, 4.7 RPG, 4.6 APG, 2.3 SPG, 0.9 BPG) – Wade shows that Miami is still his team earlier in the season posting up MVP numbers (31 PPG, 7 APG), but when Lebron came back from injury he somewhat take a huge step back from his MVP caliber season.
4. Dwight Howard, C, Orlando Magic (22-12), (20.3 PPG, 13.2 RPG, 0.9 APG, 1.0 SPG, 1.9 BPG) – His summer workout with the Dream is finally showing results, but it seems that he sacrificed some of his defense for his offense. He is blocking less than 2 blocks a game.
5. Russell Westbrook, PG, Oklahoma City Thunder (23-12), (22.7 PPG, 3.1 APG, 7.2 APG, 1.6 SPG, 0.1 BPG) – When Kevin Durant went down and out for about 3 weeks; it was Westbrook who led his team. Hitting some big shots and having some great plays against the elite teams, He averaged 27 PPG during that span.

1. John Wall, PG, Washington Wizards, (16.8 PPG, 3.3 RPG, 5.8 APG, 1.8 SPG, 0.5 BPG) - Leading all rookies in three categories, John Wall is locked for winning the ROY award. His stats might go up if the Arenas leaving the team rumors are true.
2. Wesley Johnson, SF, Minnesota Timberwolves, (14.1 PPG, 7.2 RPG, 1.3 APG, 1.4 SPG, 1.1 BPG) - If Wesley Johnson continues to his all around performance he might just steal the award but that is by a long shot.
3. Evan Turner, SG, Philadelphia 76ers, (15.5 PPG, 5.5 RPG, 3.5 APG, 1.2 SPG, 0.3 BPG) - Turner is second to John Wall in scoring and assist per game. Well it is a close fight between Johnson and Turner for the second best rookie it's just Turner's inconsistency made him dropped just a little bit.
4. Ed Davis, PF, Toronto Raptors, (12.8 PPG, 9.7 RPG, 1.1 APG, 0.3 SPG, 1.3 BPG) - It was a blessing in disguise for Ed Davis when Bargnani suffered an injury and will be out for the season. He is now playing major minutes and now leading his batch in blocks per game.
5. Blake Griffin, PF, LA Clippers, (11.8 PPG, 9.8 RPG, 0.5 APG, 0.8 SPG, 0.7 BPG) - Last season's injury maybe slowing down Griffin, we expect him to be a front runner in the rankings but his lacks the explosiveness we've been hoping for.

Wow, Westbrook in the R2MVP. Good to see Dirk streaking. At 12-22 you're definitely going for that lottery pick.

I'm actually aiming for a top 3 pick

Hey would you like to join in this years draft?

I'm surprised that the Bobcats are still sub-.500 even though Wallace and Jackson are both All-Stars, Wallace is in the runnning for DPOY, and Augustin is a front-runner for MIP! S-Jax was a player of the week once also.

Who said that Jackson and Wallace would be an Allstar? Anyways your prediction in the standings is really close.
