Badger, I watched that vid thinking it was a brawl, that lasted 7 minutes. You wasted 7 minutes of my life, just so I could see Greece kick the shit out of those Macedonians. :shake:

Axel13, the world's biggest Joel Anthony fan, Canada lost to Argentina 79-66. At the third quarter Canada was leading with 8 points, 38-30.

I'm not the biggest Joel Anthony fan. Sure shadowgrin has showed me the greatness that he is, but I'm a straight up Rockets fan. And come on, it's Canada, Canadians always lose. :cheeky:

Funny how nobody in Canada paying attention to very our own national team. No wonder Nash doesn't wanna be any part of this shit team anymore.

Not that random as Aussies look good. I think they'll get the bronze (Y)

I just hope they can get back to top 4 like in the Andrew Gaze Era. :)

And Patty can earn a real job.

EDIT: Did anyone catch Spain-USA? How did Ricky Rubio look?

I didn't see the game, but heard Rubio looked pretty good, jumper looking a bit more solid, he's added a little more bulk to his skinny frame, he's still a good pressure defender, a few of Team USA guys were impressed & said he is ready to play in NBA now. Let's just hope it's not with the T'wolves, they are just a mess. He needs to go to a team with vets, even if he plays like a Goran Dragic role off bench for 20 minutes per game the first year or two in the league.

Didn't see the game but seems Durant and Rose came up big for the USA in the closing moments.

U.S.A was bad on the paint. They really seem to have a red hot peripheral zone but not depth in the paint at all

Really expected USA to lose, but they managed to eke out the victory despite being fucked by the refs. I think the lack of size on the roster may be good for this kind of basketball though.

Tomorrow is the Greece-USA game.
I've participated in all the competitions about a ticket as the 20 and almost all 50 euro seats are sold out.

I'm confident that Rubio's game can translate into the NBA. Still pissed off Navarro never got a chance to show how good he really is. (N)

When is Rubio coming to NBA anyways?

I never bought into the hype anyways as I think he's not really tall nor fast enough to compete at the highest level in the NBA.

6'4 for a point guard not being tall?

What I've heard next season.

Hedo Turkoglu can play PG at our NT.

Shaun Livingston is 6'7.

The only knocks I have against Rubio are whether he would be athletic enough to play in the NBA and his shooting ability. The latter can be improved and I'm sure that he isn't the worst athlete around. He's pretty quick so that should not be a huge problem!

I think apart from those 'weaknesses', he has a lot going for him and 3 things really stand out for me. His experience as a pro in Europe and for Spain, his unselfish playing style, and his aggresive defence. It's hard to gague whether he could reach an All-star level in the NBA. I will take a big guess and say that right now, he can come in the league and be better than Brandon Jennings. Add a jumper with range and he could be on his way to being more than a solid starting PG.

Anyways, Rajon Rondo quit before he could be cut. Too much pride to be told he's cut. Not very gracious.
