I can't say the same for Durant. You made him into a jerk. :shake:

puttincomputers wrote:I say dont do the trade. you would be trading your future for a one year glory. It would be better to bench lee for now than to trade for brand. How long is kidd sticking around anyways? Personally i would trade kidd for another aging pg who still has his legs.

Kidd may retire at season's end. So I want to help him win a ring in his final year. David Lee is coming off contract so maybe it's time to get something out of him if he is to bolt because we will be over the salary cap if we wanna keep Bogut, Ty, KD around (Ty/KD offcontract this season or next also)...

Martti. wrote:I think Brand is much better in the game then he was this season. With the recent play of Lee though, I'd stick with him. Brand could interfere with Bogut's emergence this season too.

Lee is struggling to score double digit points consistently and his rebounding numbers continue to dwindle... Bogut has always been solid, I think maybe Brand will help to solidify that. Brand is only averaging something like 13 points a game...

I will only do a trade to help my team.... I like how my team has been together for nearly 3 seasons now. Unlike most dynasty/association stories. :P

But KD has been a jerk since day one...

I won't be able to trade Scola. I will wait for his contract to run out. :) He's been a fairly good player for me off the bench though!

I would not take Brand. btw the chapter was decent. I hope this Blake guy will be in there more often. Seems to be a fierce competitor for KD in the future. Stay with Lee, he's already in his thirties in your D I guess, so now is his prime time.

Blake is only a bit player... I would have featured a different player but it had to be this stupid sub who comes on to fuck over Durant... Blake averages like 4 points a game haha... what a crappy pick for number 8 in the Ricky Rubio draft... none of the players were any good.

Message to my readers

I know I always say that I am going to be updating more regularly but this time I am giving my word. And you all should know that I do usually make good on my word. These past few weeks have been really busy with exams and girlfriend. In 2 weeks time, A Legend Is Born III will be back in business. I intend to finish this season in a 2 month period. That includes the playoffs because I think Durant, Ty, Kidd and co are capable of winning the NBA championship!

5 exams really sucks and I am hard at work studying, which also explains why I haven't been very active the past few days.

So please don't stop checking because we are about to continue with the ride!

Thank you to Jae for starting the Hall of Fame and all the people who nominated for ALIB II to be inducted. Sidenote: Hopefully it reaches 50, 000 views to cement itself in the upper echelon of association story making :)

It is an honor and I hope this one reaches that level when it is all said and done!

I think you could get more for Lee. I would shop around some more.

Looking forward to this getting rolling again.

Tyson Scores Season High 43, Leads Durant-less Stealth
31 December, 2012
Preview | Box Score | Recap | Highlights

Image

CHARLOTTE (AP) – Reshawn Tyson scored a season high 43 points and Andrew Bogut added 22 points and 10 rebounds, as the Seattle Stealth improved to 10 wins over .500 to close out 2012. Tyson and Bogut shot with deadly precision as they combined to go an incredible 30 for 35 from the field.

Head Coach Will Sit was in awe of his two starters’ performance, “Wow. Did they just miss 5 shots out of 35? I wish they could do that every night.” He even gave them a ringing endorsement for a certain event in February, “Ty and Andrew are definitely All-Star caliber. It would be hard done if they weren’t picked for that All-Star squad.”

Kevin Durant was involved in an ugly collision with Charlotte Bobcat forward Christopher Blake. That sent him to the locker room with roughly half of the second quarter left to play. Durant was hit hard on a drive to the hoop and landed on his back. Blake walked away as the home crowd cheered and the second leading scorer in the NBA for this season was carried off the court on a stretcher.

The stubborn Durant insisted on returning to the court in the fourth quarter and was called for a technical after a dangerous challenge on Blake’s teammate Mark Moore. Durant, who had 13 first quarter points, finished the game with 17. His final two baskets came late in the game; the second of them was a layup with 2:40 left. That keyed a game-clinching 10-2 run from the Stealth.

Devin Harris led the home side with 37 points, 7 assists and Moore added a double double of 18 points and 10 assists.

Notes: 2012 first overall pick Jao Wu had a good run for Seattle as he notched 9 points from off the bench… A few days after Philadelphia offered Seattle Elton Brand for David Lee, Lee responded with a solid 9 points, 7 rebounds. The PF was quiet about a possible team swap and quickly left the locker room after the game… The disappointing Bobcats dropped to 11-21 and this looks like it could be the start of some big trades to help the franchise build for the future…

Nice job with Bogut and Ty. Though for now they're Durant's side-kicks I guess, at least Durant won't let things go differently.

Great that this is back.

I've had plenty of games like this in my past associations. The offense is there, but you can't quite find the defense. Good win all the same. (Y)

For sure. Everyone should remember the previous chapter of the story for the dynamics of the team. But don't forget that Bogut and Durant are great buddies, Ty not so much.

Oh yeah, high scoring game! Just like how we like to see it.

Thanks. I need to shore up my defense but we're not a very defensive orientated team so I don't really mind too much.

He's been fairly up and down this season but still coming second in points per game!
