New reply, from a new gentleman:

Quote removed *sigh*

edit: 10:29pm

The response I got, makes me a bit worried, as, in my own words (I've removed the quote), they basically told me "thanks for the comments, we'll look into it.... it may not be fixed this year but we'll try to do better next year".

I'm kind of upset that I got censored posting the email they sent me, but oh well.

That was a bit painful to read; seems like he almost wanted to break out of the canned tech support email format.

At least they are responding to the complaints and taking into account what we have said.

Donatello, the guy is just covering his ass....in business you do not to promise anything you can't deliver....he just gave you the generic comment to buy some time....I think you guys will get your patch, but only fixing 2 to 3 of the major bugs (subbing etc) & add a couple of new left out players just to make everyone happy with them that they're delivering more than expected....

Feedback is a good sign, as is the "let's keep in touch with this" -- if he indeed means that. I look at the "whether or not..." as more of a safety net just in case, so he wouldn't be going back on his word.

A step in the right direciton, to say the least. (Y)

Have to agree. It sounds like a "thank you goodbye." response

I wonder if the guy has any idea that 200 or so people worldwide are dissecting his email, looking for any sign of hope?

The "regardless of whether or not these issues can be addressed in this year's product" makes me a bit worried, as they basically make the game unplayable (realistically)...

That's exactly what I was gonna write before reading your post... :?

That's what I'm guessing too.
Even though it shouldn't be acceptable, I guess that most of us (including me) will be happy if a patch is released to fix the no sub/PG primacy/crash issues, and maybe a couple of other problems (I'd really like to be able to use the "switch to last defender" thing)...

Yeah, at least it shows they're listening and probably now thinking 'shit we may have a problem here'. Let's hope they keep talking to Donatello.

Earl - 'Hmmm, What were we before we were monkeys?'
Randy - 'I don't know...I don't even remember being a monkey'

Its good that they replied, but it seems to me like they were just replying so as to keep up customer relations. Hopefully they realise how many people are trying to get these issues fixed.

Good answer or not ... i want to say thanks to Donatello to contact with EA's employes and talk about the possible bug fix.
I think there is a lot of possibilites to EA make the patch , because they are a massive and BIG brand and they dont want to have a bad image. I mean if the popular games like the NBA live series are choppy , the people gonna think more after buy a game.

If my english its wrong/bad ... sorry

Thats kinda my thought procces right now. There is no way I can play this for a year. Im just glad I dont have the crash to desktop problem, or I would really know something is up with Live this year.

EA really screwed themselves over by not having a global release date. Now they've lost plenty of customers from Aus/NZ. On the other hand we benefit from this.

I haven't seen this much backlash for a game since EA released 2001.

thats exactly right, at least if it came out here at the same time we all would have bought it first, then found out it was shit instead of finding out from other people

Donatello, can you ask them on WHO TESTED the Live 07 game? I am really interested in knowing who tested the game before production.

Guys I am happy that we are finally voicing our opinions, atleast we are getting some response. I am not gonna pay $65 dollars for a game if I'm not being satisfied. This will only change if we SAY something, or we'll live in a Monopoly place.
