v1.10 released...

Postby Andrew on Sun Jun 24, 2007 9:55 am

Welcome to the official support thread for v1.10 of the NBA Live 07 current roster update!

A new version (v1.10) of the current roster update for NBA Live 07 has been released and is available to download here. It contains the final update for the 2006/2007 season and the first update for the 2007 offseason.

Key features of v1.10:
- Final 2006/2007 Rosters
- 2007/2008 Offseason Rosters
- Player ratings updated for more realistic performance
- Primacy ratings updated for better shot distribution
- Player positions and data updated/corrected
- Fatigue ratings updated for better substitution patterns
- Cyberfaces for all newly added players
- Portraits for all newly added players
- Some player heights and weights corrected
- Stan Van Gundy added as the Orlando Magic's coach

A few release notes:
  1. Yes, not all of the coach updates have been made yet. I'd prefer not to do them until I've got faces for them. There is a whole offseason to get details like this in order. ;)
  2. I'd just like to stress that this is the final 2006/2007 season update, not the final update for the roster. Effective as of this update, the offseason updates have commenced.
  3. No rookies have been included yet, yes I intend to add them. When? After the Draft. Please note that an update won't be coming out immediately after the Draft. Even if I wanted to, I wouldn't be able to as I'll be on my way home from the NBA Live 08 Community event and as such won't have access to my PC.
  4. The next release date has tentatively been pencilled in for two weeks after I get back, July 15th. Please understand that the post-Draft update is always a big one so I might have to delay it slightly, but I'll see what happens.
  5. Suggestions are of course welcome throughout the offseason.

I think that's about it. Hope you enjoy v1.10! :)

you all have a separate roster update for the 360 or will the roster patch work on both the PC and 360?

Some suggestions on players' ratings:
- Charlie Villanueva well known not only as good scorer and outside shooter but also good threepoint shooter for a guy of his size. He shoot the ball from beyond the arc with 33.7% last season. It's pretty good % for him considering that he missed more than half of the season due to his injuries. For example anoter bigman with range - Rasheed Wallace shoot the ball from the perimeter with 35,1% last season - he has fg-75, 3pt-70. By the way, at the end of the season when Charlie fully recovered from his injury he had amazing game against Lakers with 26 points and 6 of 8(!!!) from the threepoint line. It shows that Villanueva really has the touch from the perimeter and current 3pt-62 is too low. Considering his 47,0% fg% fg-70, 3pt-68 will be right for him.
- Darko Milicic seems begins to justify hopes given him with his early pick in 2003 draft. Spending only 23,9 minutes per game he blocks 1.8 shot and grabs 5.5 rebound. His number of offensive rebounds per game is 1.8 and currently he has 35 off.reb. rating - it's too low. For comparison:
Darko Milicic - 23.9 min, 1.8 off. reb, off. reb. rating - 35,
Mikki Moore - 26.3 min, 1.8 off. reb, rating - 55,
Antwan Jamison, 38.0 min, 1.9 off reb, rating - 51,
Josh Howard, 35.1 min, 1.9 off reb, rating - 54.
Hope you'll fix it.
- Nate Robinson - 5-9 energy guy who has very good shot. You can only imagine how it hard to score playing against taller and tougher opponents but he does it. He scores 10.1 point per game with 43.3% from the field and 39.0% from the perimeter with 1.3 3pointer made per game. For comparison Earl Boykins has almost same numbers(fg 42% and 3pt 39,6%) but has higher ratings in game. Same about Jannero Pargo, JR Smith, Mikael Pietrus - all of them has same numbers in real life but higher ratings in game. I think Nate's fg and 3pt ratings should be near 75 both.
- Jason Maxiell very quick guy in reality but has very low speed and quickness ratings in game. They should be at least 70 both imo.
- Josh Smith shoots the ball well every time I watch Hawks games. He has not very impressive fg% due to his poor threepoint shooting but this guy shoots jumpers pretty well, he even makes threes so I think he should have fg rating 70.
- Juwan Howard had fg% 46.5% last season - high enough considering that he almost do not dunk and very rarely goes under the rim. The reason of high % is his outside shot. His shoot is pretty good and seems that it's only reason why his contract wasn't bought out cause he doesn't have defence at all and do not rebound strongly. I think fg-75 will be right for him.
- Tony Allen was one of the best players of Celtics untill the injury: had 7 straight 20+ pts games, made 6-7 rebounds almost in every game, shoot a lot of threes, had very good fg%. I think his current ratings is too low considering his injury. He should have fg and 3pt - 70 both, higher rebound and offensive aware ratings.
- Brandan Roy shoot from the threepoint line with 37.7% last season. I think it's enough to give him 72 3pt rating.
- Rodney Carney had 34.7% from 3pt line last season. So his 3pt rating should be 65 imo.
- Craig Smith spend very good season in Minnesota averaging 7.4 pts, 5.1 rebs per 18.2 mins with 53.1 fg%. His fg and rebound ratings should be higher.
- Kyle Lowry known as tenacious defender with quick hands. He avereged 1.3 steal per 17,2 minutes - very good result. His defensive aware and steal should be 70 at least.
That's all. Looking for your next release, Andrew!

Odding, nothing the patch does should cause that problem. Do you have the official patch installed as well?

Thanks for the suggestions dayan, they've been noted.

Hi Andrew! I have some suggestions:
- Look this video please Andrew, now you know that TJ Ford can dunk, can crazy dunk with height 6.0!! But in game it's impossible, cause he have jump only 55, i think he deserve jump something like 85-90. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=caF4975-hGc
- C.Boozer is offensive machine inside with 25 pts per game in PO, he deserves to be SS scorer inside and have much offensive aware than now.
- R.Lewis inly one man in the game who have only 82 offensive aware with so high scoring, with 23 points per game i think he deserve to be SS scorer and have much offensive aware, please take a look on this guys. [/url]

85-90 for tj is too much 60-70 will be enough, imo.
for boozer well he has 56% field goal last season but maybe giving superstar powers will be too much too, but i think he deserve higher stats, maybe but not ss scorer inside.
for rashard lewis, rashard will be a scoring beast ingame if that happens.

I think that Fred Jones should have more dunk, in the game he's only a simple highflyer, and in my opinion he' a superstar ( he won Slam Dunk Contest in 2004) :)

Some suggestions (only if you haven't already updated your roster  )

- Chris Paul can dunk: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YedAXWgrwCo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDjzvJYWtoc&mode=related&search=

- Deron Williams can dunk: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5G8IoXx1bE

- And here is what Fred Jones can do in NBA Games, not only in Slam Dunk Contest: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XF2m8GIwhDM
Imo he is a star, not a superstar like Arthas said.

- More from TJ ford :P : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuTK0mGcbQ0
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Jh5q7tSI8I

- Ronnie Price can dunk: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-0Aq-PDuoU

- Can in your opinion Kidd and Bibby still dunk (these are old videos)?

I have suggestions for Brandon Roy - I think you need to increase speed, quickness, dribble, off awerness, FG and 3pt ratings for this player. He is very good ofensive player, and definelty need to be star outside scorer.

Well those guys can dunk but in Live 07 its either you enable that dunk for certain dunkpacks or make them high Flyers but they will do those crazy windmill stuff (atleast Jones can). . .

I think Deron Williams uses the dunk animation with "JAM" at the end and for ford his dunk is similar to the 2 handed Put Back jam only used in Tip in Dunks.

select dunk packs with those dunks and they would be fine. . . (Y)

I can't remember offhand which dunk packages those players have in the rosters, I'll have to check that out.

The roster will hopefully be out tomorrow. At the moment I don't expect I'll have to postpone it but it depends on the available rookie faces as I'd prefer to release the patch with faces for all the draftees if possible.

Hello! I am a nex guy, from France. Sorry my english is not very good, but if you can unterstand me never mide, no? :)
So I have got a suggetion: Andrew (or another "patch creator") could you make a roster patch with europeans players in the free agent-list, like Papaloukas (CSKA Moscow), Nicola Vujic (Maccabi Tel Aviv) or Florent Pietrus (Mike brother from Malaga, Spain).
FIBA and NBA fan I am, I think that could be great!
I loved to sign Papaloukas to the Suns!
:)
Thank you!

If they sign with an NBA team they will certainly be added but otherwise it's not a priority at this time. Sorry.

Hi Andrew!
I have some new suggestions for you :)
Raymond Felton:
He is very good point guard & he is making 7.0 APG I think he must have SS passing ability ;)
Al Jefferson:
He is nice deffensive player, he is making 1.54 blocks per game, he needs star or super star block ability , in fact S.Marion making 1.52 BPG, A.Stoudermire 1.34 BPG, C.Bosh 1.3 BPG.
And also Big Al is good in offence, he is making 16.0 PPG . , and i think he nneds some hight rating on his shooting, his ins. scoring rating is 78 , but E.Okafor have 85 with 14.4 PPG.
Brandan Roy:
He is talented young guy, who became leader in his first season! And I think he deserves to have ratings like have other leaders with same statistic.
R. Lewis:
I think he needs some SS Scorer abiliry
Thanks for the atention ;)
