Do read my post more carefully...
*sighs*
I said in the EAST that's All-Star caliber.
The other PFs in the Eastern Conference that are of All-Star-ish caliber are Antoine Walker, Jermaine O'neal (though he's almost a C), Chris Webber (and that's ending, quickly) and Antawn Jamison (who is, IMO, not an All-Star at all).
Walker's a shot-chucker, JO's legit, Chris Webber is old, feeble and crippled (and a chucker who holds onto the ball too much and Jamison can't D up and shoots too much from too far away.
Chris Bosh's 18/10 starts to look pretty appealing, even if only as a coaches' selection. Walker and JO are his only serious competition if you look at them from a merit POV. Webber may have had the Sixers winning at a slightly higher percentage when he arrived but he'll be ultimately detrimental to Philadelphia's future by lowering the value of their draft pick just enough to make them lose out on most of the really good first rounders without the fruit of serious contention.
Antawn Jamison was overrated because of the Wizards' success and is ultimately the same player he was in Golden State; pretty good but now mildly overrated. I'd rather have Bosh than Jamison. I'd rather have Bosh than Walker because he's younger and not such of an idiot on the court. I'd rather have Bosh than Webber because he's not a sports-old cripple with lots of bad tendencies and attitude issues.
I'd rather have JO than Bosh and from that list, that's about it.
Ruff Ryder wrote:[color=blue][b]Jamison-20 ppg, 8 rpg when bosh is 17-9... There for Bosh deserves an 89 and Jamison isn't even an all-star, he's just overrated because Washington had a good season and made the playoffs? If Bosh gets an 89 for that, Jamison must be like a 94. The ratings are based on one system, not "east all-star calibre" or "west all-star calibre". J-Rich would be east all-star calibre SG with 22-6-4, but no way he's getting a rating in the 90s. Ratings aren't based off of calibre and potential, they're based on on-court performance. If we want to make the game unrealistic we can put Bosh at 89, J-Rich at 95, JO at 99, TD at 99, KG at 99, LeBron at 99, etc. Then everyone fills the board with "so and so is overrated, please fix their ratings." I know for a fact if Bosh was rated an 89 people would come in posting "WTF, Bosh is an 89?".
