Do read my post more carefully...

*sighs*

I said in the EAST that's All-Star caliber.

The other PFs in the Eastern Conference that are of All-Star-ish caliber are Antoine Walker, Jermaine O'neal (though he's almost a C), Chris Webber (and that's ending, quickly) and Antawn Jamison (who is, IMO, not an All-Star at all).

Walker's a shot-chucker, JO's legit, Chris Webber is old, feeble and crippled (and a chucker who holds onto the ball too much and Jamison can't D up and shoots too much from too far away.

Chris Bosh's 18/10 starts to look pretty appealing, even if only as a coaches' selection. Walker and JO are his only serious competition if you look at them from a merit POV. Webber may have had the Sixers winning at a slightly higher percentage when he arrived but he'll be ultimately detrimental to Philadelphia's future by lowering the value of their draft pick just enough to make them lose out on most of the really good first rounders without the fruit of serious contention.

Antawn Jamison was overrated because of the Wizards' success and is ultimately the same player he was in Golden State; pretty good but now mildly overrated. I'd rather have Bosh than Jamison. I'd rather have Bosh than Walker because he's younger and not such of an idiot on the court. I'd rather have Bosh than Webber because he's not a sports-old cripple with lots of bad tendencies and attitude issues.

I'd rather have JO than Bosh and from that list, that's about it.

I can see it now "Rage Rosters v1" lol. Old rating system sucks, all the players were way overrated. Like DMiles at 87 in Live 03. He cant do nothing but dunk and block a shot here and there. I remember trying to create LeBron as rookie in the PS2 version and i ended up giving him 99 overall, that's how it came out.

Jamison-20 ppg, 8 rpg when bosh is 17-9... There for Bosh deserves an 89 and Jamison isn't even an all-star, he's just overrated because Washington had a good season and made the playoffs? :? If Bosh gets an 89 for that, Jamison must be like a 94. The ratings are based on one system, not "east all-star calibre" or "west all-star calibre". J-Rich would be east all-star calibre SG with 22-6-4, but no way he's getting a rating in the 90s. Ratings aren't based off of calibre and potential, they're based on on-court performance. If we want to make the game unrealistic we can put Bosh at 89, J-Rich at 95, JO at 99, TD at 99, KG at 99, LeBron at 99, etc. Then everyone fills the board with "so and so is overrated, please fix their ratings." I know for a fact if Bosh was rated an 89 people would come in posting "WTF, Bosh is an 89?".

Anyway I think Deng will be a 68 and Curry a 67.

Wed Jul 13, 2005 1:42 am

lol, chris bosh at a 89. maybe we can give tim duncan a 116. that should work nicely dont you think?

89, no. All-Star caliber, yes.

80-ish, yes. 78-82, somewhere in there. I was arguing his All-Star caliber, not that he should have the rating Lebron did in 2K5.

He IS an All-Star caliber play in the Eastern Conference, at least when you look at last season.

Yeah Krstic will be in the 60's. I think Wade is good, but people make him out to be better than he is. I think like an 86-88, but not in the 90's.

What about new Spurs center, probably starting center Fabricio Oberto??... I could bet my house he'll be underrated as many rookies are in their rookie year.

Sat Jul 16, 2005 6:51 am

Gordon?

Sat Jul 16, 2005 8:10 am

Hey who cares Bosh is or isn't an All Star player for the east? Does that mean anything for his rating?

East or West, it's the same league!!! That's like if you move Kobe from West to East he suddenly changes his ratings from 94 to 99 or LeBron from East to West he is a 87 instead of 97 just because he plays in a different conference?

You really need to get this sorted out because... well... you're plain wrong...

Sat Jul 16, 2005 1:41 pm
