A simple aesthetic, program, and functionality (which a few even use) upgrade aren't convincing enough that it's better than ALL the previous windows.

Windows Vista also has the desktop wallpaper videos. It's called "Dreamweaver"...I have it running as we speak. Also, one would argue that accesibility, user friendliness and most of all..stability are some of what would make an OS the best ever. How would a couple new gimmicks make windows 7 way better than all the previous windows?

Holy shit, it's been 14 years since Win95 and they still manage to get their OS to look ugly. Jokes aside, Win95 is most definitely still Microsoft's best release... XP's the best Windows in the modern era.

I got it dual booted on one of my computers. It's like Vista without all the shit about Vista that pisses you off and a new taskbar.

Not like that really means anything at this point. Seriously, other than run the OS(or get the OS to run), what can you actually install and do on it? What kind of driver support? Sure it isn't just Vista stripped of the crap and a new kernel?
Thu Jan 01, 2009 7:42 pm
New kernel? MS has been using the same crappy kernel since NT, what makes you think they're gonna build a new one now?

I never meant completely new, just new enough to sell another buggy OS.
