[Help]Salary Cap

can anyone give me the file for a huge salary cap?my team is lakers.,thanks. sorry to bother you guys.

Because salary cap info is stored in franchise.dat, you'll need to edit the file yourself. This tutorial will tell you what to do, however please note the default value for NBA Live 08's salary cap is 49D9.

i've followed the steps slowly and correctly,and re-did it several times and still cant find my salary cap. T_T help pls.

The problem is you're not in the first year so the cap has increased. Thus, the value of 49D9 no longer applies. Instead, you should search for 19E1.

I don't think you can go that high, but a 400 million cap should essentially work as an unlimited cap since you could sign a full roster of 15 players to $20 million contracts and still have room left over.

how do save changes made on players.dbf?using the editor db commander?

I punched 57630 (representing the $57.63 mil salary cap, since Live only uses five figures) in Dec mode and then switched to Hex mode, giving me a value of E11E. As outlined in the tutorial, you've got to reverse the first two values with the second two, giving you a value of 1EE1.

Changes you make in DB Commander are saved automatically when you move to a new cell (box) in the database. You can also click the Tick icon to save changes immediately.

i cant find my hex code of my salary cap of my dynasty... i tryed everyone here whitout results.. please help..

Correct, contrary to what we've had to do previously.

There aren't any general DB Commander tutorials, DBF editing is pretty basic; you open up a dbf file using DB Commander, search for values and edit them accordingly. Some of the specific editing tutorials (such as creating custom teams) have screenshots of the changes being made in DB Commander though.

That's strange, if you're cap is at $55.63 mil then it could really only be one of those two values. I'm not sure what else to suggest at this time, I'll have a think about it and if I come up with anything I'll get back to you. In the meantime, if anyone else has any clues feel free to post them.

now i know why the changes i made in DB dont apply in my dynasty rosters,cause im editing the wrong players.dbf,and yeah it auto~saves. thanks for the time.

sometimes my NBA Live 08 (PC) crashes during 4th quarter or sometimes in 3rd quarter,any solution to this?

We'd have to identify the problem first. Does it crash at the same point in the third and fourth quarters every time and do you get an error message when it crashes?

the game started to crash when i put on the new dunk moves,yes there's an error something like "send, dont send thingy"

Try removing that update and restoring the original file.

how to edit staff budget and salary cap before starting dynasty. is it even possible? thanks in advance for the replies.
