Trading help: whom can I obtain?

Thu Nov 20, 2008 1:05 am

I want to start an association with the Knicks. Whom can I obtain? I want to get rid of Marbury and Curry (surprise, surprise). I know that the Knicks are one of the worst teams and very hard to rebuild. I could also override trades and conduct trades regardless of the salary cap. With most of the Knicks´ contracts I cannot even get new players or only a very small number.

1) Whom could / shoult I trade for?

2) I know it is almost impossible but how could I get one of the following players:

a) LeBron James
b) Dwight Howard
c) Kevin Garnett
d) Shaq
e) Nowitzki

I already know your answers: No way! LOL But what trades could I conduct that are not that unfair? e.g. Marbury, Curry and someone else for Shaq and two benchwarmers.

As he's already traded is kinda difficult... Unless you are the Warriors...

try marbury curry for shaq and tucker/dragic. include some picks to sweeten the deal. you can always get picks back when u need them by trading useless bench players to teams that have expiring contracts and a losing record. (Y)

to tell the truth the AI is smart. I had to give up randy foye, rodney carney and some bench player and my first round pick for rose and cedric simmons. i still consider that my best trade though:)

I want to keep Crawford and maybe Randolph because I did not like the trade at all. I play with rosters that have not been updated since the Iverson trade anyway. I have decided not to trade for a superstar.

I want to get rid of Marbury and Curry. I am after a solid center that can rebound and block shots. Possible canditates: Andris Biedrins, Chris Kaman and Bynum. Would the trades below be fair?

1) Biedrins or Kaman or Bynum <-> Randolph
2) Bynum or Kaman or Biedrins and some bench player <-> Curry and Marbury

As I like to keep Randolph I prefer the second trade.
Bynum is my first choice I think because of his shot blocking skills.

Ok, I had a look at player ratings and would consider these trades as fair:

1) Marbury and Curry <-> Tim Thomas and C. Mobley

OR

2) Randolph, Curry and Marbury <-> Kaman, Tim Thomas and C. Mobley

What do you think?

I started an assocation just to test things and put Marbury on the trading block. The Suns offered Shaq...I could trade Marbury for Shaq. Stupid AI. Now the Suns have Nash and Marbury but no good center.

EDIT Comments please! This is urgent.

Why do the Suns want Marbury? It makes no sense. Nash and Marbury? I could have a really good rotation:

O' Neal
Randolph
Richardson
Crawford
Duhon

with Lee, Chandler, Robinson on the bench. Then I could trade away Curry for some guy or accept a trade Boston always offers: Gallinari for Tony Allan and a 1st round pick.

I definitely want to keep Randolph, Lee, Richardson, Crawford, Duhon, Robinson, Chandler and Collins. I miss Balkman - I could reaquire him for players I do not need such as Marbury, Curry, Jeffries, Rose or James.

Well, looks like in 2k9 it's normal. When I put Shaun Livingston on the trading block, after a few days the Blazers offered Brandon Roy and Martell Webster...
