Yeah that was a bit awkward, I prefer it on the left as well.

I'm having a hard time getting used to the new colors. But it's a nice change (Y)

I guess there are a few new blues added in the default prosilver template, I was hoping they'd be soft enough. Well, we'll have to work on a subsilver2 upgrade and hopefully people will get used to the changes in time or prefer an alternative that we can put together.

I still don't see how the new one is all that bad or terrible different in its layout, there are differences certainly but the layout is very similar. Anyway, we'll try to put something together using subsilver2 as a base.

I like the new look, but just two major things that are causing a sight for sore eyes:
- When browsing the forums, the topic titles appears extremely cramped. Make the black lines significantly lighter (or get rid of it) and add a bit more vertical padding so that it's easier to scan.
- Change all the fonts to Verdana. Please, get rid of Trebuchet.

Minor recommendations:
- Is it necessary to have the "Re: Topic Title" on every post?
- Is it necessary to have "by <poster>" when the <poster> avatar is just to the left?

I'll see what I can do, changing the font is certainly easy enough. The "Re: Topic Title" is a product of the quick reply (it adds it automatically), if you use Post Reply it should remain blank and nothing will appear, unless you enter a subject for the reply. I don't think it looks too bad. Same goes for the "by (poster)" text underneath it; it actually performs a different function when you click that username, it'll bring up the profile whereas the other one will add the poster's name to your reply.

I didn't say anything about the layout, it's the icons that irk me, they are too similiar for me. I know you pointed out the color differences and all of that, thanks for that...

But it still is too close and a pain to differentiate for me, that is still allowed...right? But anyways, perhaps my bowdown smiley gave the wrong impression.

Change it, don't change it...do as you please.

Cy, just change the font on your browser. Just go to Safari>Preferences>Appearance in Safari, or Firefox>Preferences>Content in Firefox. You have to uncheck the "Allow pages to choose their own fonts" box in Firefox. I'm using Helvetica 16 pixels right now; the forum's never looked better.

Ahhh, I see. It's not immediately apparent, but good to know it provides a function.

Joe: Awesome tip! Definitely handy (Y) though it doesn't seem to override on Safari; just override default, unspecified settings.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the feedback. I'm just trying to determine exactly what you and others don't like about the new skin so I can fix it in updates to this skin and in developing other choices. I'm a little surprised as I quite like this skin but I certainly did not mean to imply you were not allowed to dislike the new skin, if my last post came off that way it certainly wasn't intentional. I was just wondering where you were coming from and what in particular you didn't like; now I know.

No worries, that is how it came off though. But yeah, the post icons are my gripe, the rest is quite fine. (Actually, after seeing Joe's screenshot, perhaps changing the font wouldn't be that far fetched either.)

Perhaps we can find a custom set that will look a little better.

Is there any way to put the number of pages below the name of the thread when you're looking at every forum?

Possibly. I'll check it out while I'm playing around with the test template.

So, when will the Search function be back again?

Re: NLSC Forum Back Online

Each thread and forum has its own search bar next to post reply and new topic respectively as well

Re: NLSC Forum Back Online

The search index was also completely rebuilt so it should be returning better results than before.

If the "By: [poster]" is removed, the name under the avatar must be returned to the default and link to the user profile. Clicking on it expecting the profile and all I get is Andrew, is very annoying, and something I'll never want or need.

Re: NLSC Forum Back Online

Indeed, one of the reasons I've kept the "by [poster]" line. It doesn't seem so intrusive with the poster info and posts flipped in my opinion but that's just me.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but I'd recommend having the thread topic links take us to the last page (most recent posts) of the thread rather than the first page. It's annoying when I find myself consistently going to the first page of the Laugh It Up Thread or the Letting Out Steam thread, see Jae's name, and go, oh he's back! Wait...

It certainly does. We've always had that function. ;)

That's the point.
It's "little", it's barely noticeable or much less to click on it accurately. I don't want to waste my time moving my mouse cursor just to click that small thing or the small box that has the last page of the thread when I can just quickly click those bigass letters of the thread title to go to the most recent thread page.
