Yea well it was going to be a throwbacks game, but for some reason at the team selection screen the damn jerseys don't show up. :? So I just took a shot at a throwback.

Don't mind the double post, just wanted to let everyone know that this association isn't dead or anything, I've been just been on hiatus from this due to school lately. There have been lots of exams and projects to deal with, plus as a founding father of a fraternity here at my university it takes a good amount of time, but it's been a very exciting and worthwhile fall semester so far.

Maybe sometime this week I will be able to post something like a December recap, since I've played up to the end of 2008, just haven't caught up in regards to updates. Also suggestions and whatnot are always welcomed. I'm glad to see so many guys who used to do dynasties back in Live 04 or 05 come back, especially Seraph and Cocobee, and the arrival of 2K on PC has really revitalized this section of the forum that has been in a slump lately.

It's good to know that someone still believes in the Kings nowadays. Kings fans have changed to Lakers or Warriors fans. Good luck on your association with the Kings and your player.

Do whatcha gotta do bro, we'll be here! Now if they can figure out how to patch the game without textmod, I'd be on cloud 9.

Over the last 2 weeks or so we're been cruising through the Western Conference, but Kobe and them Lakers are catching up, unsure off the top of my head but we might only have a game or two on them at the moment, crazy isn't it. I have two notable games that I want to touch on in my latest rookie recap, one was against fellow Chinese Yi Jianlian and his Nets, then the other one about a week or so later versus the Knicks.

I've been called athletic before, but Yi is freakishly athletic for a guy his size, and he's really put on muscle since last season. I got the ball and backed him down in the paint, and found my hook shot sent back past like midcourt. Luckily Kevin caught that rejection, gave it back to me and I managed to catch Yi off guard for a nifty up and under jam. I've really been allowed to get on the court lately and do pretty much had free reign from coach, though the thing I noticed is that majority of my buckets come in the paint, and there hasn't been very much success from outside the paint. Once in a while a jump shot or three will drop, but that's far and in between. The Nets stayed close, and we were up by only 4 at half and 5 at the end of the 3rd quarter. But you know that Kevin Martin will be there to bail you out. He absolutely shut down Vince Carter in the 4th, and took over with 15 points in the 4th for a total of 38 points, including getting to the line 16 times and making all of them. Besides Kevin, the Rookies were big in this game. I had 13 points and 4 blocks, Donte had 2 or 3 huge tip in jams, and Jason was a beast on the defensive boards. Took a real team effort to stop the tear of VC and Yi (14 points 16 rebounds).

Right after this win we were clipped by the Jazz, and the following game allowed Dirk 40 points, but contained everyone else on route to a 124-123 squeaker. We then played the Jazz again, and this time we beat them, but at the cost of losing Francisco breaking his right big toe when he ran into Deron Williams; he'll be gone about 4 weeks or so. After this game I went back to my apartment and flipped on ESPN, where they were recapping our game. Afterwards came a report of the Toronto Raptors being interested in making a deal for Bobby and a couple other guys. I feel asleep figuring it was just a rumor, but woke up the next morning to find the headlines that Bobby was shipped to Canada with Spencer Hawes, and a 1st round pick for this year and next year, in return for Jose Calderon, Andrea Bargnani, and Jamal Sampson. First trade I've experienced in my career, and this will be interesting. Jose like starts for the Spanish National Team, and Andrea is on the Italian NT, and Jamal played over in the Chinese Basketball Association the last 2 years or so, this is good but will take some time to get used to new teammates.

We followed up the trade with 3 losses in a row (guess it was taking a long time for guys to gel), and two of those losses were to the Lakers, who pulled like a half a game behind us. In that process Andrea strained his MCL and will be out for approximately 2 weeks. With the two injuries we activated Quincy and Jamal for the Knicks game. Right before the game I learned Yao got taken off the court (they think it's the same foot he broke last year), so doesn't look like he'll be able to make it for our game against them next week. But onto the Knicks, which we started off hot on. Not only was our offense on fire, but defense too. Donte was defending the basket like no tomorrow, swatting shots left and right. Donte even hit a buzzer beater half court three at the half. It was a rout even before the game started, and we were up 70-35 at the break. As the game wore on it became less like a game and more a dunk contest or exhibition game. Gallinari, the rookie on the Knicks was dunked on by pretty much everybody on our team, another great pick by the Knicks. The score was 150-73, we more than doubled them, not an NBA record but still immensely impressive.

The Knicks shot only 17% from the line, and we grabbed 97 rebounds off their misses. And interesting fact here, I now hold the Kings' single game record for steals, with 6. Kevin was awarded the West Player of the Week after the game (LeBron has won all of them in the East), and is currently leading the league in points. The end of December will be coming up soon, so maybe I'll do a recap of the month and current league leaders for readers once that time comes, you'd probably be amazed.

150-73. How the hell is that not a record? I've heard of 148-80, but thats it.
And 97 rebounds? Damn.

Good stuff btw.
