Problem resigning free agents

Ok, that's kind of misleading; it's not that my FA's won't sign with me, it's that they won't NOT sign with me. This makes it impossible for me to clear cap space for other FA's. Playing dynasty as Chicago, the CPU always decides that I need to resign Larry Hughes when his contract expires. I've managed to get things to work once by driving down the unwanted FAs' interest to zero, but even this no longer works. Anyone know what's going on?

Have you got Roster Management set to Auto? If so, set it to Manual as you should be able to pick and choose whom you re-sign during the offseason. If you've already got it set to Manual then that's very puzzling.

Hmm....I do believe my roster management IS set to manual...very puzzling indeed

There's got to be a way to not re-sign players. I'll take another look and see if I can find out anything else to suggest.

You can access you're player roster during the of season. There you can choose to release the player(s) you don't want to resign, if you do that the players wont stay on you're roster for the next year.
