sir tanong ko lang prob ko, kasi crash talaga sa akin e, after ko load ng roster ready na ako select ng teams at configs ok naman lahat pro nung pagkatapos na magloading at magsisimula na ang game ay error na. 2 ang PC ko pero the same output parin, error. yung dinowload ko ay yung http://www.filefactory.com/file/d22b9e/ ... B_BETA_rar. orig yung copy ko ng NBA08, nalaro ko na yung PBA08 beta, then pati yung albys RR8 at maayos naman lahat di ako nkaranas ng anong problema, sinubukan ko yung ibang mga mods, wala probs, bukod tangi lang talaga itong UPB, di ko alam kung ano problema pro cguro 20X ko na install-unistall para lng malaman ano prob, simple lang naman ang instructions na binigay mo at paulit ulit ko ring sinusunod, mas mhirap p nga yung RR8. i am really dissapointed now na parang ako na lang ang di pa nkakalaro.

sir hamzie, sana matulungan mo ako or yung ibang may alam tungkol sa prob na to, please help me..

Oki i have posted a day ago a better installation guide at my 1st post. If your PC can handle RR8, then no problem with your PC requirement.
(Make a backup of your old NBALIVE install if you like and put it in a different directory).
- Try unstalling your NBALive game, then delete whats left in your default nbalive directory (bka kasi may naiwan mods dun na nag conflict sa mod).
- Delete also the folder NBALIVE 08 (NBA save game directory). Default location is My Documents\NBA LIVE 08.
- Now follow the Installation Guide i posted at the 1st page.
NOTE: The ROSTER folder was not properly arranged. There are 2 files inside it, the New UPB folder and the settings folder.
The settings folder should pe placed in your
C:\Documents and Settings\Your PC User\My Documents\NBA LIVE 08
while the New UPB folder should be placed in your
C:\Documents and Settings\ALADIN\My Documents\NBA LIVE 08\saves
See the difference?

Next week or til the new site by vinz is up, we will release the UPB BETA with an installer as suggested by other patchers, so that people will have an easier time installing the mod. It will include a slightly edited roster with salaries and years of contract good for Dynasty. The Noth and South Jersey will also be fix. Hopefully if i receive the ROS and the TNT Jersey by vhan, then is will also be included. Someone asked if the mod is playable with the NBA roster, yes it should be playable but i only tested it with UPB and Shoe Pack installed, so it would be easy to troubleshoot if there are problems. Though i don't recommend having both RR8 and UPB, i think it should work (If you install the UPB last, then UPB Frontend will be used, if vise vesa then RR8 FE wll be used).

here's what i did:

1. uninstall the nba live 08 and i deleted the folder nba live 08 in directory, also this folder C:\Documents and Settings\Sepultura\My
Documents\NBA LIVE 08.
2. installed NBA LIVE 08 fresh copy, just to make it sure, i put it in Drive D (partition)
3. Copied all 7 folders and paste to my nbalive installation folder D:\EA SPORTS\NBA LIVE 08, and overwrite it.

yes sir, i know what you are trying to say, i mean the difference between the New UPB(roster) and settings, and i did your instruction once again sir. but still the same outcome sir, error.

i dont know what's going on here in my installation but i think i did it right.
i'm kinda frustrated now i really want this game so badly. my dad is expecting this game too.. yes, my dad! he's 58 now and loves playing nba or pba live.. he's so cool.. that's my dad.

what i used to do circa PBA LIVE 06 (or 07 beta ba yun?) was to create a batch file that would rename folders into the appropriate league you want to play (NBA or PBA). that way, nothing gets overwritten. after renaming, it would also automatically launch the game. sayang if only i still had that batch file. i'll try to look for it if i still have it.

yes, i did this too when i have PBA Live 07 and Slamdunk07.. both are running NBA Live 07, 2 folders and then just rename the folder the game you want to execute. even in NBA Live 08 using RR8 and PBA Live 08 Beta, it works for me.. but the problem is, when i removed the PBA Live 08 Beta and installed a fresh copy of NBA Live 08 for UPB, then its a big crash.. i did sir hamzie's instructions. what do you think guys?

i dunno if this trick will work for you!!

we have the same problem, i was a bit frustrated as you are right now, the problem is i cant uninstall my nba08 because my CD were missing long time ago. that is why i tried so many options just to make the mod work...

here is the trick...

first load ur UPB Roster.
then edit atleast 5 rosters... (e.g. change gear, change shoes etc)
then save it in different roster name...
then exit ur nba and launch it once again,
load ur save roster and then try..


that is what i did and now im enjoying playing this ultimate mod.. hehehe

and one more thing this is my first time playing dynasty.. i never played dynasty mode, not even once (mainipin kase ko) only UPB changed the way i play NBA LIVE hehehe...

Bro, the crashes is caused by missing transition logos of the team. Theres already a fix for that. He needs to download the MISSING LOGO FILES at the 1st page.

The Installer for pbalive06 was really great with its own icon plus you guys added that serial number pass. I hope you can still find the batch file you mentioned and can you make an installer like that so others can easily install it.

Maybe thats the main problem people are having. Before you start any game, you need to load the UPB roster first as it is not the default NBA Roster. Im not entirely sure what the database\OrigDB is for, but i think this is the default roster the game uses. Maybe if i change it with the UPB roster, it will be the default roster the game will use. Err...we better ask Kris, i think his NBA ROSTER release before have this file database\OrigDB.

ROSTER UPDATE:
-I already updated the lefties mentioned on this thread.
-Salaries and Players Contracts already updated. Team salary for PBA Teams is 20-25M and 60m for PBL and LP so they will avoid trading players as they are over salary cap, to keep most teams intact. This is very helpful for Dynasty Modes.
-updated DESTINY for all players. (Destiny is how players can be trained to improve their STATS. 0 being the best 8 is worst.
-Updated the Roster to work with shoe patch as the default nba shoes really sucks.

Heres what i have in my Dynasty game using Ginebra. After the 1st season, Hapee released Tiu (They are over salary cap, maybe thats why hapee cannot re-sign him, but they still managed to re-sign Al-Hussaini. Then i traded Cabatu for Al-Hussaini and Hapeed agreed. Now i have both Tiu and Hussaini playing for Ginebra. With a good Bigman Assitant Trainer for Hussaini, i can increase his STATS in only a few years and be a dominant Center. Same goes to Tiu, but you need a Shooter Assistant or Guard Assistant. I always have 2-3 Assistant to maximize their potential.

thanks for the advice, i tried the tricks that you've said but sad to say, failed again...

but here's the good news... hehehe after 2 days, thinking of something but nothing in particular, naloko na kakaisip what should i do to run this game.. wala na maisip na ibang options, am thinking of reformatting my computer maybe a corrupted files, virus infected or what so ever (desperate move) just to try if i can still play the game.. hehehe very stupid
but u know what i found a solution and now im enjoying playing this mod... ofcourse with my DAD! what solution? it's kinda weird man. i used regcure to remove all uninstalled programs in my computer including NBA Live 08. then tried to install again hoping for a miracle with matching prayer.. and then, wow! it's working! very funny experience. may kinalaman ba talaga ang registry kung bkit di gumana ang game ko? question parin sa mind ko.. but nevermind basta nkakalaro nako, wala ng tulugan to, dynasty.. thanks guys!

Hey, your back. Ok ill try to give you quick guide for the tatoos.
- Ok look for the file alcrisa_arm_tat.fsh in your UPB install folder. File location should be in Program Files/EA Sports/NBA Live 08/sgsm.
- Open that file using fshx (download the tool at the main page of nlsc).
- Since the mod uses 2x armpatch, the file should be 256x256 size
- Now export the file in DDS format.
- Now you can view/edit the file in Photoshop with DDS plugin installed.
- When youre finish with your new tatoo, save it as DDS or PNG if you have a transparent background.
- You can then import it back using fshX Tool.

Heres another quicker guide in making tatoos for UPB.
Make the tatoo using photoshop, background should be transparent and save it in PNG. When youre finished, just send the files to me and ill import it.
