Knicks after Al Harrington, Spurs after Eddy Curry

Donnie Walsh is familiar with Al Harrington, a player he has already acquired twice and could add to his roster once more.

The thinking is that Harrington would fit Mike D'Antoni's up-tempo system because he can run the floor and spot up behind the arc.

The Knicks are said to be dangling Eddy Curry but a third team may need to be involved to make the trade happen.

The San Antonio Spurs are desperate for additional scoring and may feel they can revive Curry's career by placing him next to Tim Duncan and Tony Parker. But it is unclear who the Spurs would send to the Warriors in such a deal.

The Warriors are reportedly asking for David Lee to complete a straight two-team trade with New York.

I don't think anyone's got a chance at getting the Knicks to trade away David Lee unless they're offering a high profile star so I don't see that deal happening anytime soon. If they can work out a three team trade involving the Spurs, maybe San Antonio could work for Curry but if he's out of shape and doesn't bring the right attitude, I doubt Popovich will hesitate to bench him the way D'Antoni did.

You'd have to be as dumb as Isiah to trade for Eddy Curry. You can't make chicken soup out of chicken shit. Curry has ZERO passion for the game. If he did, he would have come to camp in shape with a chip on his shoulder. Soft, fat, lazy with no heart.

Going after Curry = the end of the Spurs sub-dynasty?

Who else do the Spurs have after their Big Three? A pile of shit. Kurt Thomas? Fabricio Oberto? Will they give up a George Hill? Udoka? Mahinimi? Finley? That's futility, but I guess you don't need much to get Curry.

Actually, you sorta do. Due to that contract.

After Dec 15th, they could do it with less players by working in Thomas.

If the Spurs are still struggling by then - a possibility with Parker likely to miss a couple of weeks and Ginobili still out - maybe they'll consider doing that.

NO, please do NOT trade away David Lee! The Knicks always lose players who play very well afterwards. Lee and Robinson must stay.

I aagree with you Leander, but I would trade Curry away for a pile of shit. I hate that guy. I loved him when he did great, but I got so disgusted in him when he came back the next year unmotivated cause of his all-star snub.

I don't think there's anything to worry about there, teams asking about Lee seems to be a deal killer.

That doesn't look like Eddy Curry. Silly ESPN.

Looks like it could be the Raptors instead, with the Bobcats reportedly looking at moving Gerald Wallace as well.
