The cable should come from your power supply, just like all the other power cables that connect to your motherboard, hard drive and dvd-rom drives.

In many cases, adapters may be required if your power supply does not have enough connectors, or if it does not have PCI-Express connectors. You may wish to consider purchasing a Molex Y-Adapter (Turns one standard Molex into two) or a PCI-Express Adapter (Turns two standard Molex into one PCI-Express) rather than purchasing a new Power Supply.
kris and pdub thx alot after much research and staring at the inside i have come to the conclusion that i need an adapter as i see no place on the mother board to plug in the prongs that i have

PCI Express plugs from your videocard into your power supply, not your motherboard.

I was actually surprised how smothly it ran on my computer - I have a single core 2,8 processor, 2 gb RAM, and a Gforce 7800 GT. It is running very smoothly on medium settings (I have a few things like crowd and bench players on low, so I can have player detials on high).

I love it when programmers manege to make their fancy-looking games run, even on older machines, Crysis being the best example - even though it is made up to be one of the best looking and most demanding games of all time, it still runs and looks amazing on low setings on my machine.

ok so that means i do have to opin my power supply mines is enclosed in a metal box

No, it should already have a bunch of cables coming out of it that plug into your other computer components, like I stated before.

Don't ever open up the inside of a power supply there are potentially lethal voltages inside. Even several minutes after they are powered down, they can store a charge that could kill you. See preparation guide

You are misinterpreting the information that we are giving you. I don't want you to mess up your computer or possibly hurt yourself in the process. I think you should look for the closest store or shop that you can take your computer to and have them hook it up for you if you feel you didn't do it correctly.

If you decide to try something yourself, I am relinquishing any responsibility that I may have for the advice I have tried to give you. Take it to someone who knows what they are doing.

i appreciate all the advice thanks i wontopen it but where i get confused is my cpu doesnt already have a added in graphics card it has an intergrated one and i do see the wires coming out of the power supply but following each line i do not see any spots where those prongs would fit but i think i will take it to a store cuz i mos def am missing something. even though i did not install it i would not have been able to get as far as i hd witout u and kris so thx again ill let u guys know how it turns out

Thanks for the replies guys , I don't have enough money for 9600Gt so I guess I will jsut lower some other setting like bench players and stuff like that.
Can't wait to get my computer in a day or two and play this game already.
