Coaching Feature

I'm thinking of a feature where I be will the coach. I take a time out, assign tasks to certain players, control or plan the play in critical situations. But I think it maybe too complicated for EA to create this. I mean what's the use of the coach if you just take time outs and substitute.

I'd say it'd be feasible but I think it might have limited appeal. It's been suggested before so you're definitely not the only person who would be interested in it but the concept seems more suited to a manager sim rather than a game like NBA Live. I think you'd need to have a fair amount of interaction for the feature to have widespread appeal.

I never really thought of that. In madden, they have where you can be the play caller. Which I think is a stupid and totally random mode. I'd like to acctually see the game.

you get hired and fired depends on how well you coach with the players you have. I personally would love to be able to coach The Bulls or start out with an underdog team just to see if I can improve them. i would be for a game like this. NBA Live Head Coach 2009.

It might not have enough appeal to stand alone as a seperate game (I know they've done it with tne NFL license before) but implementing a complete sim/coaching mode in Live might prove popular, perhaps even to the point of developing a spinoff game.

thats a great idea, 2k9 has a limited coaching mode but live has none.
