Help! Airballs all the time in practice....

Postby bobwinch on Sun Oct 26, 2008 2:17 am

Well I'm new to this 2k shot stick thing. But when i'm on the wings, it's airball everytime I shot, unless I do a fadeway jumper!
Is there something I don't understand?
BTW, I did the tutorials...

you should release the shot stick at the top of the player's jumpshot.

Getting better with practice actually...
Some players simply cannot get a good jumpshot (noah for instance).
But now I've got another issue : clipping on the jerseys in ultra-high mode.
Do you think it's driver related?

Can I get a screenshot of the jersey clipping please?

One thing I noticed about 2k9 is there are way to many airballs, whether it is practice or a full game.

It happens to me too! It's like they're really glitchy and moving. I'm running a 8800GT with beta drivers.

Airballs is pretty much all I do too during practice, but then the shots magically touch the rim during an actual game, I don't get it.
Even at free throw practice, I tried everything and I only shoot airballs, and also during a game of 21 (but so do both of the CPU opponents)... :?

Well I tried to take a screenshot for the clipping on the jerseys, but it doesn't show on a screenshot. Everything looks normal.
Got rid of the blurryness thanks to the nvidia control panel, now the game looks amazing and runs very good at ultra-high, but the clipping is still there...
I will try to change the drivers soon....

Maybe this is controller-related? I've got the 360 for windows controller and I haven't shot a single airball yet in practice.

(Of course, I'm not taking shots from way beyond the three point line and I'm not shooting with a bad player or anything.)
