Good luck with the Dynasty. :) That's an interesting starting five, I would have had either Dunleavy or Rush come off the bench in favour of starting more of a natural power forward alongside Granger and Murphy but perhaps that will work to your advantage. I'd also explore some trade possibilities with Eddie Jones and perhaps look to move either Jarrett Jack or Jamaal Tinsley.

Andrew, Ya, the starting five is kind of weird, but a trade is in the works that will make it look different.

PACERS RELEASE TWO, TAKE A CHANCE ON ANOTHER

10/21/08

Image

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Indiana Pacers released Forward Maceo Baston and Center Rasho Nesterovic. Both players were unhappy with the Pacers organization and both were not playing to their full abilities. The Pacers felt the best thing to do was part ways with the two of them. Soon after releasing the two, the Pacers took a chance on former 3rd Overall Pick Darius Miles. The Boston Celtics recently released Miles from the team and the Pacers thought that Miles was a perfect fit for the Pacers. "Miles is a great player, and we feel that he hasn't been given the chance to show the skills he has" said General Manager David Morway. Rumor had it that Miles was going to sign with the Memphis Grizzlies, as they had serious interest in him, but the rumor died when he signed with the Pacers instead. Miles will be wearing number seven for the Pacers this season.

PACERS ACQUIRE CHANDLER

10/21/08

Image

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The same day the Indiana Pacers signed Small Forward Darius Miles, the Pacers acquired Center Tyson Chandler from the New Orleans Hornets. Troy Murphy, along with Eddie Jones and Jarret Jack were traded for Tyson Chandler, Rasual Butler and Sean Marks. Getting a high profile center was the number one need for the Pacers, and they can cross it off their list now that they have Tyson. He is one of the best defenders in the league and the Pacers are very happy to have him. It took some trade offers to get him, but finally the Hornets chose an offer they thought was best for their team. "It was hard trading away Troy, Eddie and Jarret, but getting a player like Tyson was key." said head coach Jim O'Brien. "I was very surprised and pretty disappointed." said Tyson Chandler. "But after arriving here I am excited, It's a new start and It's time for a new number." Sources say that the Pacers were also trying to acquire Emeka Okafor or Al Jefferson, but none of the teams budged. Tyson Chandler has picked the number three to wear for this upcoming season with the Pacers.

i like chandler on ur team, he will really help u alot, but i think its a bit one-sided on the other side coz he's one of the main guys in New Orleans (they wont be a playoff team anymore)

u hav a young team, why not mold a young star like Roy Hibbert to backup Granger.. its better that the team grow up together (Y) good luck

XplosivE22, Thanks. I was kinda surprised that the Hornets accepted, but that's live for ya.
Also, Jones is an upgrade at Shooting Guard for them.

I like the deal, you gave up more but Eddie Jones is in the twilight of his career and acquiring Chandler makes the trade worthwhile. If I were you I'd still look to pick up a more traditional power forward to play alongside Chandler and Granger but perhaps you already have some more trades brewing? Looking forward to seeing what you do next. :)

Andrew, Dunleavy didn't work out at the 4, but Miles seems to be working, so I will keep him there for now. I am looking to trade Tinsley though.

-PeeBo, So far Chandler has been a defensive beast, and hes been getting steal left, right and center.

XplosivE22, So far Dunleavy is doing a good job. But depending on who I play I might switch Granger to Shooting Guard and Dunleavy to Small Forward. I tried both Rush and Daniels but they weren't doing good as starters.

You got a nice dynasty going here (Y) Love the acquisition of Chandler, as I can see he´s doing great job, he has been as well great for me in my dynasty, especially in defense. Recap looks very solid, I think Oskar had quite similar recap IIRC. I prefer your current rotation over the rotation you had before. Dunleavy is more of a shooting guard than power forward. You could also sometimes try big lineup with Chandler at power forward and Hibbert (I have a thing on him) at centre.

Looks like a promising idea, good luck with it. Congrats on picking up the win after that heartbreaker against the Heat!

KLEIZA NOW A PACER

10/23/08

Image

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After weeks of trying to trade Jamaal, the Pacers finally got it done. The general manager was looking to get a star power forward to play along side Chandler, but no teams were interested. Finally the Nuggers sent an offer that the Pacers really liked. J.R. Smith and Stephen Graham will be going to the Raptors, Jamaal Tinsley and Jamario Moon will be going to the Nuggets and the Pacers will be getting Linas Kleiza and Sonny Weems. The Pacers are really excited to have Kleiza coming to the team, and hope that Sonny will be a key player for success. Pacers head coach Jim O'Brien said that Linas will be the Pacer's sixth man for now, and a possible starter in the future. Linas Kleiza is extremely happy as he sees this as a new opportunity to show how good he can be. A lot of teams were interested in Linas, including the 76ers, Rockets and Bulls, but the Nuggets were really interested in acquiring Tinsley to play with Iverson. Stephen Graham is sad to be leaving Indiana, but is happy at the chance of player with his brother Joey Graham.

ratrac, I think this is the 6th or 7th dynasty. But I do really like Kleiza, and he was the best I could get for Tinsley.

Not a bad aquisition in terms of what Kleiza brings to the table but it does create a bit of a logjam.

Andrew, It's somewhat of a logjam, but I am playing other players at other positions.
-PeeBo, Kleiza seems to be a NLSC favourite.
XplosivE22, He will not be there for much longer, as there might be another trade coming soon.

Fair enough. Some of the players are certainly versatile enough to play at two or three positions which I'm sure is proving helpful. Best of luck in the next game. :)
