Legends Roster?

Sorry if this has been posted or asked somewhere else, but I haven't found any info on it yet. Does 2K9 have all-decade teams similar to Live? Such as the 80's and 90's all stars, etc.
If so, can someone tell me who is on the teams? And do the announcers say their names?
I'm a big legends fan, and this would get me even more excited about the game, although I'm really looking forward to it anyways.

Yes, they do have legend decades teams....I can't remember everybody on each team, but here's a few that I can remember:

50's/60's (Wilt, Russell, Petitt, Cousy, Schayes, Mikan, Sharman, Baylor, Oscar Robertson, Havlicek etc)
70's East (Cowens, Lanier, Dr J, Billy Cunningham, Dave Bing, Earl Monroe, Walt Frazier, Willis Reed, etc)
70's West (Goodrich, Pistol Pete, Bill Walton, Rick Barry, Spencer Haywood, Bob McAdoo, Gervin, Nate Archibald etc)
80's East (Dr J, Isiah Thomas, Larry Bird, Moses Malone, Ewing, Cheeks, McHale, Parish, Dominique Wilkins, Sidney Moncrief etc)
80's West (Magic, Worthy, Cooper, Hakeem, etc)
90's East (Pippen, Ewing, Rodman, Steve Smith, Glen Rice, Tim Hardaway, Shaq, Hill, Zo, Iverson etc)
90's West (Chris Mullin, Mitch Richmond, Shaq, Hakeem, Kidd, David Robinson, Karl Malone, Drexler, Kevin Johnson, Hornacek, Majerle, Schrempf)

I might have accidentally put players in wrong decade or team (Pistol Pete might be East - Hawks), but you get the idea....

sorry didn't play with 80's West team yet, so not 100% sure....


EDIT: And to answer your question, yes, they do say their names....I'm also pretty sure I heard some of them called by their nicknames, ie. Magic, Hondo (Havlicek) etc

No MJ & Barkley....those 2 are never in games, due to licensing....they're idiots....it's their choice to not be in games, not 2k's....no doubt they won't big $$$'s to be in game....

but I'm sure we'll be able to download their CAP's ASAP....

EDIT: Apparently they aren't in the NBA's Retired Players Union, so maybe that's another big reason why they aren't in game.

yeah, I pretty much knew that charles and mj wouldn't be in it....they never are. but that's great about the rest.

I haven't seen Stockton which is disappointing....I really hope he is in there, but I missed him....but I fear he is not....

currently I'm transferring players from legend teams to their real teams (hopefully I can clone a couple & move someone like Pistol Pete to both Hawks & Jazz to strengthen both teams)....good for games against my brother....a mix of old & new players....might also move guys like Iverson back to 76ers....

I might have to do some CAP for Stockton, MJ, Barkley & a couple of others, although time is restricted at moment, but at least the majority are there

Since Andrew has confirmed that it's possible to edit rosters and add missing players, we may simply add MJ and Barkley to the game. Besides, I was wondering if we can add new teams into the game and if so, why don't we add 2000s all star team with Duncan, KG, Kobe, LBJ and CP3?

whats great is that when u CAP announcers DOES says the name of jordan and barkley and i guess most legends not in game

You can create new teams.
I create a whole new team of the people who i play with on weekends at the park near my house.

I downloaded an Old School vs New School roster, but edited it & fixed up stuff....it has MJ, Payton, Barkley, Kemp, Stockton, etc in there....don't know why the guy made Luc Longley & put him on Bulls though....he rated him 84 as well, so I thought it was my obligation to rate him down

most of my play with 2k9 will be with this roster, so I'm going to continue to tweak & so on....maybe when it's up to my standards then I might upload it to 2k share....
