True, i'm a pcgamer but i bought an Xbox 360 last year. I sold it three months ago because i was only interested in playing three games.
All other games i prefer to play on my pc. A console is not expensive but when you are only interested in three games like me it is expensive.

These are some of the the things I would like to see in an update.

FRANCHISE MODE

I really like the simple franchise mode. It's Something the other 2 games don't have anymore but there are a few things that need to be fixed to make it perfect.

-Simulated games. We should be able to choose the length of the qaurters for simulated and cpu vs cpu games. (without this people who don't like to play 12 min quarters will have a very flawed/unrealistic franchise experience)
-Be able to see players contracts/years remaining and the teams cap situations. Also we should be able to see how many players they have on their team. (all of this would make trading, releasing and signing players alot faster and easier)

Less important things.

-Option to change your team in the offseason or even during the season. (this could simulate a career mode if you want to follow a player around)
-Fantasy draft before we start the franchise
-During the draft lottery if we could see what teams are in what position and their odds of getting that spot before hand it would make it alot more fun and interesting.

GAMEPLAY

-Ability to move your piont guard around during the inbounds pass.

You can't move your PG around during inbound passes, set Sim Quarter Length or see players' contract info? Jesus Christ. Is this NBA 99?

It seems that way. I really like the franchise mode though it is simple like the old NBA Lives only you can trade draft picks also. No annoying PDA and havening to scout players to draft. Also all player development is done during training camp so you don't get annoying message throughout the season bugging you to train players.

Screw the new franchise modes in 2K and Live.

You do know that the past couple installments have allowed you to check off the features you don't want to deal with now?

Is that for Live? I remember 07 or 06 you could choose not have the PDA beep for little things but they are still there. Still I would like an option of simple or complex when playing the franchise mode.

What features can you take out in the new ones?

Well, Live 08 (at least next-gen...) does away with the PDA. But in that you could turn off scouting, team messages, coaching, roster movement, team chemistry, Sim intervention, etc. The game makes it pretty easy.

2K isn't as forgiving in this aspect, though the game as a whole is much more in-depth and less accessible than Live or NBA 09 anyway.

If he's talking about PC, you could "check off" the PDA. (On or off, no option to only be notified for trade offers.) But it'd still beep every time you got a message and the owner would bitch at you not reading his message.

feels like Live and 2k are like the "normal" games and the Sony installment is the game with Down Syndrome.

I came across a few more problems. Like not being able to edit player ratings or accessories. Not being able to view team stats during a game. I think I am done with NBA 09, I just put it on ebay. Way to many small annoying things that when you put them all together it makes the game unplayable. Its a shame the gameplay and mini games were fun. I might get it again for cheap If they fix the problems but I doubt they will.

The PSP version is very bad. I rented it for 1 hour  Still no story mode, the gameplay hasnt changed. Passing is very dangerous since often theres going to be an interception as the defenders just jump and the ball magically flies in their hands like Yoda. And overall its the same since 06 and really the same

You're right about that dude!

And how about the BLOCKS???? If you like to see 30 blocks in a game, then NBA 09 is the game for you! I really don't know why NBA 09 has jacked-up blocking ability. It removes any realism from the game.

But once again, the minigames are nice! Give and Go, anyone?
