Ultimate Pinoy Basketball Mod (PBA, PBL and LP)

for me i think it is good idea if the pbl, liga and pba in one competition... uaap and ncaa is just a college student we need a pro basketball player here... lets support what sir hamzie doing... GO GO GO... i will help everything i know...

my few cents..

these three "pro" leagues' teams dont REALISTICALLY play against each other. and by the way, the PBL is an amateur league so i suggest not mixing them up in a single roster.

the UAAP and NCAA are not JUST college leagues. you know the drawing support of these college leagues? they fill the araneta to the brim especially during ADMU vs DLSU games even beating PBA games in gate attendance. how about that? (we can mix both leagues together in one mod just like it was in the past since the teams of these leagues get to compete against each other in the champions' cup)

and besides, it's not just hamzie doing the work. it's all of us together.

PBA+PBL+LP or PBA+UAAP+NCAA, actually they are both UNREALISTIC , but i do agree that more people would like PBA,UAAP,NCAA...its just too late for that.

TO ALL:
Ok i explained this a lot of times already. I started this mod so i can play the pba team in dynasty mode, 3pts shootout, dunking contest, fiba, etc. The PBL and LP are just to fill in the missing teams since NBALIVE have 30 teams total. If we have less than 30, the game modes that i mentioned will not work. About the selection of PBL and LP, I choose them because PBA, PBL, AND LP are all COMMERCIAL TEAMS, meaning all of these players get paid to play. There had been a lot of request to include or replace the PBL and LP, but as i mentioned a lot of times already that there are already materials made for the PBL. If we are to abandone the PBL and LP, this mod will again take forever to finish.

I will try to explain the PBL and LP materials put in this mod in numbers so that everyone will know how much work was done on this mod. There are 8 PBL teams and 12 LP teams = 20. Each team have 4 jerseys which are the home, away, home practice, and away practice, so 4 times 20 = 80. Yes that is right there are 80 jerseys already made for the PBL and LP. There are 104 files inside each jersey and i have to rename each so that it will be assigned for a specific team. 80x104 = 8320 renamed files that i made. I also made CFs for the 6 PBL teams and each team have at least 12 players, that means 6x12=72 CFs. IF WE WOULD CHANGE IT NOW TO UAAP/NCAA, WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THOSE 80 JERSEYS, 8320 RENAMED FILES, AND AT LEAST 70+ CFS?

Note: A lot of PBL Jersey came from prinsipe, some made by me, some made by Gen. Hingedman made 2 LP Jerseys, Prinsipe also made 2 LP jerseys, and i made the remaining 8 LP jerseys. All PBL and LP Practice Jerseys made by Prinsipe.)

given the amount of work done already, it's a go then for PBA, LP and the PBL to be all in one league. and no, i wasn't suggesting the college leagues to be mixed up with the pros. that we be most awkward to include together. i think it is my bad not making it clear that the UAAP/NCAA could be a project we could take on after UPB.


i'm just wondering about the dynasty mode part since this is one of the reasons why you got all the commercial teams together.. what happens to the generated rookies? are they real life rookies too? or at least pinoy players (kahit fictional) instead of the default generated ones (na mga puti at egoy)? if not, your PBA dynasty after 2-3 seasons will be populated by imports.. this is actually one of the reasons why im not very keen into playing dynasty mode with all the previous installments of the PBA Live mod. the season mode was enough.

sabagay, with the PBA, PBL and LP in one roster, i think there is the option to choose which teams you want to include in the tournament using the season mode

so all's good.

kudos to all patchers who've been spending much time in the UPB Mod.

UAAP / NCAA mod is a great idea so as the PBA live 08 Mod (is in the works already)

UPB Mod is almost due and let's support it all the way.

i dont mean to offend you.. but renaming the files was just easy if you have a HEXworkshop.. you'll just type and replace the team ids... (the 1st 4 letters of the team name).. it that case.. if you will rename the files inside those jersey files.. it would just be easy if you're using HEXworkshop... i supposed most of the experienced patchers here know that... so it wont be a problem renaming those files...

Im redoing the ROSTER file coz the old working roster got a bug. The new roster is much better and more organize. This will delay the beta just a little longer, but the pba players are already encoded. Starting with the PBL players today.

the problem with the recent pinoy mod is you cant able to play even in season mode (pbalive06-07, 08 beta and uaap-ncaalive06). how you will enjoy a mode just by seeing the very nice and stunning graphic of it but couldn't able to play even in season mode. thats a bit of frustrating, after waiting for about half of the year to download and play it then you will just find out that you can play only in exhibition mode. frustrating inst it?

with the idea of combining PBA, PBL and LP to make it work in dynasty and season mode, well the only thing i can say is thats an ultimate idea. maybe that is why its called an Ultimate pinoy baskeball mod.


well we have to give credit to this guy (hamzie) for bringing this mod into reality, honestly when the first time i saw this mod, i was just saying to myself that this guy is insane, to make this big mod by himself thats fuckin insane. but after a months, i ate what i just said, i culdnt believe that this mod is still alive and kickin and ready for a beta release, can you imagine that. and come to think of it compare to us who's doing patching for about a years this guy is just new in patching.

anyone has their own opinion, and this is mine.

for those who are complaining regarding the exclusion of the UAAP and NCAA in this great patch, I had one thing to say....CREATE YOUR OWN PATCH AND STOP BUGGING THE PATCHERS>>> It is their prerogative on what teams or leagues they will include in the patch since it is their patch, we are all just lucky that they are sharing their months and months of hardwork to us.........

i've got some free time this morning and for a couple of hours, i've made this logo.. it's not perfect.. but flaws make things beautiful, don't you think?.. sadly, nobody gave an answer when i asked what fonts were used in this logo.. i don't have an idea what the hell they are.. but it turned out alright.. anybody can use this provided that it will be for the progress of this project.. cheers hamzie!..

Double LC made the UPB logo used in the mod. I converted it in 3d glass effect to be used to ingame logo. I think Double LC made another new one (third) using the circle white background, so just get it from him.

A LITTLE MOD UPDATE:
Im a little busy at work and i always have overtime til 7pm. Next week ill probably have overtime til 12midnight. Oct-Dec is a busy month at the office. This means that i can only do a little update on the mod each day and i can only concentrate on it on Sat-Sun. PBA roster is done and PBL is in progress. 2004 send me some coaches CFs and some on them are already ingame.

About the Rain or Shine and TNT new jerseys, vhan promised to make them. vhan is a pro jersey maker and a veteran patcher for the nba and pba patching so expect a great result from him.
