Fri Oct 03, 2008 8:51 am
AMD Athlon 4600+ 2.4 Ghz
2GB Ram
NVidia GeForce 8800GTS 320MB

I believe that's what 2K9's "Living Rosters" is.

Intel Dual-Core 2,20Ghz
Ram 2Gb
GeForce 9800 GT or GeForce 9600 GT which one do you think I should buy?
would my PC be good enough to run this game on high or maybe even on max graphics?
Sat Oct 04, 2008 3:00 am
Guys, for now there's no way to know how optimized the game is for the PC platform, so it's impossible to guarantee what kind of settings you can use with your system.
Joke, obviously you should be pretty comfortable here, but it's impossible to tell if you'll be able to play with "high" or "max" settings, we don't even know which system settings will be customizable in this game!

the rig would be gould enough to run GTA IV u know

so u wouldn't have any problem running nba 2k9
BTW go for 9800GT but if u have more budget, this is my suggestion
CPU- core 2 extreme
card- nvidia 200series(280 or 260)

It's not the memory of the graphics card that counts. People have 512mb video cards that absolutely stink in this day and age. It's the processor. Here's a video card brief:
There are 2 main chip manufacturers - ATI and Nvidia. You can see a million brands of video cards but they'll all be using one chip or another.
There are 2 types of buses (video card slots) AGP and PCI-Express. Your old machine uses AGP so unfortunately, you can't use the PCI-Express cards that all the good machines are not built on.
Screw it, just go here. This is the best summary of video cards, bar none.
These guys go out there and get real world pricing and benchmarks for video cards and tell you the best chips at any given month.

I don't mean to be a jerk, but are you kidding me? Only the highest end laptop chips can play this game. You have a celeron and integrated graphics and are asking whether or not you can play this game? Didn't you notice jerkiness and lagging when you play Solitaire and Minefield???
