Yes it was his ability to hit clutch free throws down the stretch.

Quote from shaq himself : " I only hit them when they count"

Don't get me wrong I loved Shaq, but he'd drive me CRAZY with the missed free throws, the injuries that caused him to miss 15 to 20 games a year and his seeming disdain for conditioning during the offseason. Other than that, he was amazing, wonder what he could have been if he kept himself in top shape a la Jordan or Malone or even THE MAMBA!!! Maybe the greatest ever rathar than one of the greatest eveer???

The funny thing though is that the best years that Shaq had statistically and in terms of rings, coincided with the years he was at his heaviest. Shaq is one of the greatest testament against good conditioning... hahah

lol i guess that means shawn kemp and robert traylor should fatten up more and make a comeback into the nba lol.....

It comes back to Shaq's agility. He was able to put his bulk to use, though he probably didn't do himself any favours in the long run by putting his joints through that punishment and that is likely part of his problem as far as his injuries are concerned.

One of the most dominant centers of the NBA.

One of the most important persons of the basketball world in last 10 years.

Shaq, thanks for being on this world.
